Not just sport, the power of sportsmanship and having empathy. I cried like a banshee watching this and I'm a 40 yr old man from the UK who admires Baseball, what an amazing show unity these young men showed, we could all learn a little something from them.

The Power of Forgiveness' ! Simply a young boy having awesome parents teaching him GOOD !

Kudo's to the two boys and the parents who raised them right. For the batter to care about the mental condition of the pitcher and offer enguragement and to the pitcher who obviously legitimately felt very bad for almost seriously hurting the other player. That they bolth felt compasion for one another is amazing. Crying in front of your friends and family and specaters, and embracing another boy becasue you feel bad for what he is going through. Great parenting at work. They are both truely strong young men, not the wanna-be thuugs that would have made an issue either way.

You said it for me I had no way to say what you said I actually cried when the batter went up to hug the pitcher and pitcher crying ! Aw man that touched me big time !!

I loved seeing the injured kid go and hug and talk with the pitcher who accidentally hit him with the ball, true sportsmanship before our eyes. Staff acted quickly to help the boy on the ground. All ended well!! This should be shown to everyone, sports or not, the parents are to be commended for raising the boys correctly!!!

I wish some of our professional sports players would watch this and take note on how we’re supposed to be towards each other. Love to see this! ❤️

I've seen this kind of compassion in professional baseball. It's not absent. But love of the money over love of the game is a BIG temptation!

@@paulc.1535 99% of pitches in the Majors that are like this are intentional, those pitchers aren’t getting paid millions for being wild

That is what I call sportsmanship. I am so proud of this young man to walk to the pitcher and tell him it's alright, he's alright. Just about brought me to tears.

I coached many years as well and this brought me to tears. I have wiitnessed some really good sportsmanship from kids over the years, but I have never seen anything as moving as this. God bless these young MEN and the parents that are raising them right.

This is the best act of sportsmanship I have ever seen. The boys and their parents should be so proud.

Even the first base up is wiping his tears away from this moment. We need more kids raised like this!!

There is not a thing wrong with crying as a grown man, my kids had seen me cry and I told them everyday I love them. Children model what the parents do, in this case the parents did just what they should do and raised fine upstanding children. Even the young man on first was wiping away tears, and the pitcher's team came out to the mound to show support!! I think the parents of each of these young men should be honored for their raising upstanding young men. I do not call them boys, they are young men showing us adults how it should be done!

As someone who hadn't shed a tear at the last 3 funerals he attended, this one actually got to me 😢

The country can learn a lot from such an act. Both those boys are destined for great things.

Seeing such real, and honest care, sportsmanship, compassion, and even tears displayed by these young Men? Made them REAL "Champions" already in my book! More so than winning any ball game could ever make them! Good luck Too all playing!

Class act by the kid. Parents raised him right.

This is what great sportsmanship, compassion, respect and humility looks like. Great life lesson for us all to learn. Thank you young man!

We can all learn a lot from these kids, good parents for sure.

These kids act with more maturity than most adults! Their parents did a FANTASTIC job!

The entire world could learn a massive lesson from this young man. This is a defining moment of humanity.

The most valuable lessons in sports don't have anything to do with winning & losing... Great kid..kudos to Mom & Dad for teaching this young man what's really important in life!

As someone who has hit someone in the head (more than once), it’s horrifying. The amount of concern is unbelievable as a pitcher. Both parties handled it beautifully. Lots of respect for the kid from Tulsa and the kid from Pearland.

I’ve watched this video at least 20 times. I get teary eyed every time. That young man that got hit was raised right. His parents have to be extremely proud of him.

Not just one winner, but two winners! Never get tired of seeing this...kudos to both young men. Society would do well to follow their example.

Great display of sportsmanship, especially after the blow he took.

Heart warming to see all of the adults acting like adults , and allowing their kids to be kids . This is a teachable moment to ALL the kids who participate in little league sports , and as well the parents who watch from the stands , that at this age level it is still just a game , so act appropriately .

This is where we ALL need to get back to. Caring for others. When I saw this on tv. It made me cry. God bless y’all.

Probably the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in all my years watching LLWS! Heartfelt, selfless thing to do!

I was there in 2007 when Dalton hit it over. Had tears in my eyes when Georgia walk over. Talked to Dalton after the game at Bullfrogs. I was with 6 LLWS umpires and we all gave the Georgia Team great respect for what they did.

I was watching it and it was so amazing that he when over to the pitcher that hit him and said it was fine that he did it. And that he was ok

Seen and heard of so many saying that shows a weak person, I was taught that is the way a strong person shows it…I’m proud of how that young man was ok and talked over it all on the mound with the pitcher. That is an amazing act

This is amazing! Way to go to both boys & their parents/guardians. This is such a wonderful thing for other young athletes to see. I pray that the pitcher “gets back on the horse” as they say because he clearly didn’t mean to harm the other young man & I am assuming this is something he loves to do so I pray he gets his courage and strength back, it was only a mistake and they happen! You can do it kiddo! ♥️👍🏻♥️✌🏻♥️

I pray that this young pitcher realizes that he didn't do this intentionally, and that he will continue to keep going. It's so heartwarming to witness this young boy actually is capable of compassion. God bless you and don't give up.

Tough hombres can be compassionate too. Nobody had to tell him to do that. It's part of the fabric of his identity. His parents, relatives, teachers and coaches must have set excellent examples for him, because it just happened automatically. He knew, "This is what I gotta do." Bravo!

I remember I was in hospital when I first saw this. I was feeling miserable and very sorry for myself. I saw this and started bawling. It restored my faith in humanity. I guess when one is in an emotionally vulnerable position, It can have that impact. It still resonates as one of the great and memorable moments of all sporting events.

Great story! Would be an even better story if they end up playing in college together and being roommates. Great sportsmanship!!!!

Wow.................... I am speechless.....................This is how we want our youth to grow up. With love, with compassion, to give and receive. I know this was a while ago but it still is the right time to say, "There is HOPE for all of us!" This video should be shown all over the world in every Country. This is what humanity should be all about and we're seeing some 12 year olds showing us how to do it. God Bless everyone on the field that day who felt the emotion of the moment. And, of course, a big 'Thank You' to the wonderful player who was hit by the pitch and then strolled out to the mound to comfort the pitcher. All the parents in attendance and people EVERYWHERE who saw this video have to be very proud and may I say again, "There is HOPE for all of us!" Thanks Little Leaguers for letting us know you understand what life is all about. I surely hope some of you grow up to be leaders. Take care. Coaches, I know you were absolutely stunned by all the events that took place that day and I also know it made a great impression on you and you will carry the memories of that day for the rest of your lives and know when you talk to kids, they hear you. And you are dealing with very young people who already have a lot going on inside of them and planting good thoughts in their heads will be moments they will never forget.

You'd never ever see this in the majors...the kids are just more pure at heart.

In the majors a pitch to the face is usually intentional for one reason or another (pettiness, revenge for something, exc.), not always but they are professional pitchers who get paid a lot of money for being really good so it’s not every day a MLB pitcher throws a “wild pitch”

Both solid young men. Even with a helmet a pitch can ring your bell in a big way. The batter handled the stray pitch better than a lot of pros. The pitcher has a good heart, obviously doesn't want to hurt anyone and was shook up by his accident/mistake. Regardless if either ends up in the pros both have a bright future.

If you watch the slo-mo, the batter barely got his head around in time. He was one tick away from catching that full in the face.

Both kids are awesome to me and my heartfelt. That is God Blessing to them. They made me cried while I already witness the game. I loved them. They are very important to me and others showed everybody sportsmanship. Both of them are grownups. I love them….🤟🏻😂🥹😇😃

Was all around great sportsmanship. The kid who threw the pitch feeling so badly about it and the kid that got hit letting him know he was ok. Then the coach coming in and understanding and supporting his player, recognizing he was struggling with it and allowing him to step out. His team for supporting him. The crowd for supporting all those kids.

It's good to know that some kids have not been ruined by today's society. That there is still an ounce of innocents out there. Both of these young men have great big hearts.

I went to the LLWS one year for work and it was my favorite sporting event I've been to. I've attended 1 super bowl, 4 world series games, and 1 nba finals. Nothing else is like the LLWS.

Now if our country’s leaders and media could take inspiration from that…

LLWS is still today something I never miss. I even change work shifts to watch as much as I can. I'm planning to go and be there soon with my family.
