Best 60w COB light? | Zhiyun Molus G60 Test & Review

It's just ridiculous how small the new Zhiyun Molus G60 is and it could be the smallest 60w light on the market. But still the small size factor of @ZhiyunTechGlobal Molus G60 doesn't compromise on quality. It is everything you would expect form a 60w bicolor COB light and more. I have tested the light on set while doing commercial work and this light will definitely have a place in my kit and will even be a go to light in some cases, because of how compact it is with all the accessories included.

Thanks! For this video I used DJI Mic, but originally the audio is not that great, but that is not because of the microphone, but because the space is echoey. I would say that the overall quality of the DJI mic is fantastic, but also I am letting you know that this audio was enhanced in post.

When I recorded this video my Molus G60 was running on older firmware version. And since the 1.5.6 version I haven't been able to get the same results. From the looks of it they have limited the available watts input and the output when using the light with a PD fast charger. The results are still good, but maybe not that extra impressive as in this video. I did several tests and from the looks of it it power that is taken by the G60 doesn't exceed 65W. So form the looks of it, it doesn't mater if you are powering it with 100W or 65W charger (or power bank), the Molus G60 only uses up to 65W. And with the 65W power input I was able to reach 86% of brightness. Which is still cool, but still limited. Now about the wall charger: I use PowerGaN 65W PD Fast charger in EU - amzn.to/3oeTA5v I compared the stats and UGREEN 65W Charger looks like a good option for US - amzn.to/3oojIuC *Links are Amazon affiliate links.
I think that the best 60w cob is smallrig rc 60b, cause it has an in-built battery. Im just waiting for their bowens adaptor.

The Smallrig RC60B does look nice, but also, the new Molus X60 by Zhiyun could be a game changer. Can't wait for mine to arrive so I can share my thoughts about it. :)

What are the limitations in your opinion?
How are you going to do a light review and not show us the actual light output on a wall or on some talent instead of like 2 to 3 seconds of b roll ☠️ all you wanna do it talk about specs when we can look that up :/ this was just not the review for the product

Needs a dedicated battery attached to it. The wire and power bank seems stupid lol.

Well... Zhiyun made another light that has that - Molus X100. kzread.info/dash/bejne/g45s2cp_n5aolMY.html Adding the battery also adds to the price. But yes, I could agree that it would be cool to have a separate attachable accessory to run the light with some sort of battery.

Yes, but i heard many people had problems with its battery life. Currently i think it doesnt exist a smart solution to use a 100w light easly with small built-in battery or with little battery to plug in them.
