Seriously you guys are awesome.... I've been watching your channel since I stop working cause of my Multiple sclerosis....but I tune to your channel for help and tips. As well I recommend your channel to others where one did a simple exercise on her shoulder everyday for two weeks and now has more movement and pain free( not using pain free drugs and didn't go surgery). I know everyone is different but I say watch these awesome guys first and see if their advice works(mind you, you must be dedicate the time and push yourself).

I am a 27 year old male currently dealing with knee rehab for almost a year now. I was born with a mild form of cerebral palsy which hasn't really inhibited my life much up until recently but I learned how to walk much later in life and when I did, I didn't learn how to walk correctly, and all the years of problematic mobility have caused quite the strain on my knees. At this next phase in my rehab I'm working to finally have a healthier, less limiting gait which I believe will improve my symptoms tremendously. This is easier said than done of course, trying to break down 20+ years of bad muscle memory and establish new neurological pathways will not be easy, but I hope that with hard work, prayer, and patience I will get there. This video as well as many of your other videos have been invaluable to me these last few months, and the wit and humor you both bring to your content makes this recovery journey much less taxing, thank you both so much! Blessings to you 🙏

Brag and Bob, for footdrop exercises you need to use a model (patient) who has a footdrop to perform the exercise. You are a normal person so it is easy for you to move your foot to show. In a hospital they use electricity to strap the patient's footdrop, so when the electricity power is switched on the footdrop could lift up and down like a normal foot. But as the power is switched off after 15 minutes the footdrop drops down and back to square one.

What you need to look for in a shoe or boot to help with foot drop issues, is a hard or solid sole. Meaning that the bottom of the shoe doesn't bend much, it's not flexible or its as little as possible flexible or pliable

Hey, Bob&Brad, re. 7:12 - not tying the knot too tightly - you can use a clip for kitchen plastic bags to squeeze the ends together, but it has to be a clip that actually secures itself. I think Thera Band sell clips like that as well [probably not in the kitchen-clip price range, though]

Boots, I never thought of that. 🤔 I wore an AFO at the suggestion of my PT, it really helped in the beginning after a stroke, but after a while, as my range of motion increased the AFO became uncomfortable and began to hurt my shin, it also restricted strength training. I had it adjusted once, but that only made it worse in the long term. I finally purchased an over the counter ankle, Velcro type brace, it attaches to my shoe and or to my barefoot then my ankle. Which lifts my toes up. This helped greatly and it allows me to strengthen my shin during exercise, although I still suffer from foot drop, my toes scarp the floor like quossy moto without a brace, I'm improving greatly. I'll check out the 10 best exercises for stoke, as I have spasticity in my toes whenever, I put weight on my foot. What can I do for this?

I prefer to not use these at all. It may help, but with strokes its all about the brain, muscle atrophy is present especially in heavy paresis when you lie in bed for long. But its about waking up the brain, making it use undamaged neurons to execute complicated synergies.

Good morning, I was wondering if you all had any ideas on how to improve balance with someone who has an anoxic brain injury? My husband had an allergic reaction to Lisinopril November 2017. We went from being told that he had no brain activity to now he is home and can do so much. He does have a lot of deficits but I’m thankful he is still here. He uses a walker but needs help. I quit work to be his caregiver. Our adult children had started a go fund me because we cannot work now and he had no insurance when it happened because he had been laid off. Now we are hearing he may lose his insurance again. He has had in home therapy and outpatient therapy. He gets sick when we go anywhere so we stay home. He is only 55 years old. Is there anything you can suggest to help? Thank you and I love watching y’all.

I have foot drop from serious nerve damage to my leg, I can't lift my toes upwards and my foot is so bent that I walk on the side of my foot, I cant walk well anyway, but when I put weight on my foot it's always on the side and is extremely painful, I use crutches or a scooter, but around the house I use neither, I have tried similar to this item and the boot, neither did any good at all, nobody seems to be able to help me and my doctor and surgeons seem to have given up tring. That's no good for me as I am in excrutiating pain all the time with my legs anyway, never mind having this also.

I've had foot drop for over 11 years after my last TBI. Yes, I wear an AFO. I can walk without it (so long as I don't have the weight of a shoe dragging it down). Should I err on the side of caution & only do this exercise while wearing the AFO?

I hope you found help, but if not, hospitals can't turn you away for not being able to pay. Once you get the bill, make sure to get it itemized nd then ask for paperwork to file a financial grievance.

Hi guys, this question is off topic but we can use your help please, my wife has poor circulation in her legs and we were wondering have your heard of the magnetic system from JAPAN to help with her problem? or what do you recommend to help, she uses a small massage ball before she goes to bed and it helps somewhat, and I massage her calves to help.

My left leg drags or buckles, suddenly weakish, up to 60 times in 8/10 of a mile, lasting only a step or two or three at a time and occasionally leading to a fall. Sometimes my foot will drop or drag but not most of the time. I do have generalized neuropathy but I do not have foot drop, per neurologist. No MS or Parkinson’s. My lumbar mri was ok. Some mild foraminal stenosis. I do have paroxysmal dystonia but have had it for many years and it was a very stiff condition in both legs that would happen until whenever I sat doen. . It dwindled from severe to minimal several years ago. My neurologist said her best guess is this is dystonia. Do you have exercises to stop this leg drag?
