We're not trying to catch aircraft accidents. No less than 2/3 of the screen should be below the Horizon. Aiming too high will catch sunlight and underexpose the video during the day, and at night, headlights will overexpose the image. With the focal point instead down on the ground out in front of your vehicle, the exposure will be adjusted for what is actually important.
