You zoomers don’t understand how easy you have it with TikTok and making content. Back when we were stuck with flipnote we didn’t have a library of sounds to just automatically put over our videos, we had to hold our DSi’s up to a speaker and record the songs ourselves.

Tbh hatena was a time capsule in of itself because people animate slowly and most of the stuff is from people who havent had much access to youtube so their memes were outdated.

I haven’t watched many of these in nearly 10 years, yet I remember nearly all of them. Loved this service! I think I still have a couple of SD cards with hundreds of these downloaded.

Was 8 years old and was gifted a Nintendo DS by my mother. Only gift I ever received from her(only thing she could afford). I remember me and her watching these Flipnotes together. The one at 10:00 was our favorite one, I remember the song being ACDC-Back in black... Still one of the best Flip notes ever made. Fly High Mom, Thank you for it all.

And now Minecraft is 10 years old.. God I feel old.

I never understood how people used to get good audio. I always held my DSi next to the family computer and just hope it came out ok
