Please don't relent making these podcasts. I love learning interesting details about the seemingly mundane. I love the scholarly and verbose nature as well

Of course Sir! Do stick around 😁 Welcome to AskOkey PROFF
I could listen to this all day. Looks like I discovered kinda new "Art" that opens a new dimension. Thank you for sharing these with us!
Just looking at their outfits one can feel what a real suit can make a man feel. Very classic in my opinion.
In all honesty, this has to be one of the most underrated menswear channel on KZread. One can just tell that a lot went into each video production. It's almost like a Netflix TV Show production on KZread. Another great video. Love and peace to all.

THANK YOU Olalekan 🙌🏾 Underrated NOT FOR LONG Sir! The GIANT is slowly awakening 😁 Welcome to AskOkey good Sir! PROFF👑
Thank you gentlemen for another interesting and informative episode. I really appreciated the discussion about how the Prince of Wales design was actually inspired by the Glen check. I also did not previously know that "Glen" is a Gaelic word which means "valley" and that the check design was originally created as the "estate tweed" of the family that owned an estate in the Glenurquhart region of Scotland. I must thank Peter for bringing that up and going into detail about it, as it had never occurred to me to even think about why the Glen check was so called. As for the question about how to tell whether a garment is bespoke or not, while it is an interesting question or exercise, I find that I am more interested in either how well the garment fits the wearer or how beautiful or unique the cloth is and not whether the garment is bespoke or not. That said, bespoke tailoring offers one the opportunity to be specific about both the fit to one's individual body and the choice of cloth. In some cases, it is actually the desire to try a certain cloth, perhaps due its unique design or weight, that persuades people to choose a bespoke over an MTO service as the latter typically offers a limited selection of cloths within fabric groups without the flexibility to procure other cloth per the customer's request. It was the want for linen cloth in a certain weight that compelled me to order my first pair of AskOkey trousers :)

WOW! Now that’s quite the Magna Opus Mighty Kam 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Indeed the debate “Bespoke vs MTM” is one that surely will outlive us all 😅 However and as you might admit, there’s nothing quite like a garment that’s been made “expressly” for you. Once you put on a bespoke garment from a fine artisan, there’s ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you will look at clothing the same way. Thank you once again for your well thought out commentary. I look forward to seeing you in your first set of AskOkey garments 😁 PROFF
I want to compliment how well you incorporate classic over the calf socks in your outfits. Would you be so kind to reveal your favourite supplier for socks?

Very interesting dive into the world of suits and high end mens’ wear, this channel is great!
Proff that outfit was straight fire 🔥, also any comedy about Italian Bad-spoke clown🤡 tailors is welcome! The drape was also on point today. Even Barlow was getting his drip on. All round heavy hitting class in session. Always a good day when Proff drops another video. 🙏

Thank you Sir Tie-Clip 😁 I shy away from talking about other tailors especially when there’s nothing good to say. Better to let sleeping dogs lie. I talk about what we do here at AskOkey and invite conversation around it 😁 Thank you likewise for the kind compliments. I will convey your high regards to Pete 💯 Stay tuned for more editions of our Monthly Podcast PROFF

Just discovered this channel, fabulous information. Should be more popular.
Gents, thanks for detailing the finer aspects of "classic menswear". I find so much value in your content as well as insight on economics, philosophy and fitness. Cheers!
Okey, you are tops in my book. Your sense and knowledge of men's style is terrific and unsurpassed. I only wish I had room in my closets so I might order some of your goods. They are stuffed. Maybe I should get a warehouse. I'll give you a call when that's arranged. Cheers!

In my meager opinion Proff one of the most informative videos you've produced. Of particular interest was the section on men's trousers. Pete offers an interesting comment on the current status of pleats in men's fashions. A true travesty. What sir, if I may is your opinion on pant linings? Is lined to the knee sufficient or should the lining extend the full pant length? Many thanks sir !!
@AskOkeyInc
10 ай бұрын
THANK YOU Harry for your kind words. They are TRULY heartwarming 🙌🏾 Now regarding trouser lining. I would say half lining (up to the knee) is my preferred way. However if the fabric is scratchy and your skin is sensitive, then by all means go with full lining. I do not think the drape would be much influenced by FULL vs. HALF LINING And yes, there aren’t many tailors remaining who can make a good functional pleat. This is because men no longer wear FULL CUT trousers where a PLEAT can make or mar a pair of trousers. So most tailors never learned how to make one Welcome to AskOkey Harry 😁 PROFF
I’m new to the channel and just subscribed Do you guys have any tips and information for us big guys I’m a size 54 waist and on the portly side but I love wearing dress clothes
Proff, I wonder how do you store your jackets, sweaters, suits, etc. to manage with humidity, dust and moth? Do you use silica beads, some kind of cover or something?

I like his suites and his break down of things. However, he is a fit athletic built man. When he gonna do examples of the average man body type? A man with a little stomach, every man doesn’t have a flat 6 pack stomach.
