Besiege | Vacuum Missile

Ойындар

This shows the construction of a vacuum missile.
[ Notice ]
1. Vacuum missiles are really strong/op, many Besiege users will find the usage of this tech distasteful, dishonorable, disgusting, etc.
2. Vacuum missiles may cause game crashes and stuff (not very stable)
3. Friendly fire is likely, I might make some kind of new safety system to prevent accidental friendly fire, but the commonly used timer method (shown in video) has a high chance of missile ricochets and damaging the launcher.
How this works
Vacuum succ, it succs the missile closer to the target.
- high vacuum power increases succ range and allows for greater guidence
- high power vacuum also does lots of damage, this damage is used by the missile shown in the video.
Missile
- uses spinning to provide stability
- uses rocket as missile body to save blocks
Timer
- activates vacuum after 0.1 seconds after launch to prevent vacuum from destroying the launcher by succing
- deactivates vacuum after 3.1 seconds after launch to reduces vacuum ricochet chances (missile can ricochet off a surface and then start succing on the launcher if it ricochets towards the launcher)
Launcher
- decoupler since it can act as a launcher body to attach hinges to, saving blocks.
- hinge elevation and depression.

Oh my god you are using jiggle caused by turning to basically scan the warhead direction. Such a genious and simple idea

The high powered vacuum has extremely high succing power. This causes damage ontop of succing the missile closer towards the target. Jiggling is a side effect, turning is for stability when the vacuum hasn't had a target to succ on.

@@yekt-yayekt arent the missile be scanning different angles for vacuum to lock(suck) on by turning basically?

@@sayochikun3288 The vacuum's angle of succ is pretty wide and doesn't need to scan. You could make it scan but I find that to be ineffective in combat.

Why do you put steering things in reverse?

I'm assuming you mean the steering hinges for the elevation and traverse of the missile. The round end of the steering hinge is where the thing will pivot. I wanted the launcher body to be on the pivot line, this isn't strictly necessary, but I prefer this design over the opposite.
