When I grow my beard, it is quote strong apart from the centre of my chin. Most people don't notice the thin parts, as the rest of my beard is thick. I notice so I'm always tempted to shave

At the age of 22 rn since I’ve started using beard oil I’ve already seen an increase and this channel just gives me more hope I that one day I’ll be able to grow a full beard

There is a kid that’s in my little brothers class that has a magnificent full beard at the ripe age of 15 and apparently had beard growth before that because this thing is full as heck. Looks awesome. It looks kept up with too!

Just what I needed. Thanks Greg. I came into the weekend wanting to shave back 6-8 weeks worth of beard that I wasn't happy with. But then I found your site, watched a ton of your videos over the weekend and now I'm more pumped than I've ever been for seeing what this beard will turn into. On top of it I ordered one of the "beard bundles". Can't wait to start putting the right stuff on this thing. :-)

When I grew I noticed I have similar challenged areas as Ratliff, patchiness on my sides but otherwise pretty thick, a large stache, but the sides discouraged me a bit. Good to know it is fairly common and that I can grow my sides above longer to cover those areas. Inspiring video, thanks to you and all who submitted.

Always complained about not having a beard but then after doing research I've realised I've never actually tried properly. I've got a full goatee and patchy up the sides so always grew for a month and then shaved, very excited to keep it growing and see where it goes I shaved the sides and kept goatee not long ago and gonna try keep it for as long as I can see what I come out with very excited to see how it ends up, the fiance isnt happy about it 🤣 she hates the goatee but I get sick of having a spotty face after shaving no matter what I do thanks for some great tips from you're videos really gives me inspiration thanks again

12:15 I have a very crimson beard and I am starting to see the bright white hairs. I am excited lol. My grandfather has a pure white beard that is nearly 2 manicured feet.

I’m 49 years old and have never been able to grow a beard, but believe it or not I’m having pretty awesome results with using Minoxidil and a derma roller. I’m blown away at the results. I’m still not where I want to be, but am definitely getting there! ✌️

I actually prefer those 2 patches under the lip the bring out the shape of the beard more I use to have them but now that my beard is getting longer I start to see a little fuzzy there that I have to shave off once every 2 months

I think those patches are really good for a short beard, looks a lot professional and well trimmed. But with a long beard and expecially long beard with long mustaches, they make the beard looks a little thin and less fuller.

Greg, I think you need to stop calling people out all the time for the “patches” under the lip. They’re not patches but rather an extremely common beard pattern. I would say that pattern is the norm for most guys.

He's not "calling them out " he's making observations. His job and lifestyle is BEARDS. Its his livelihood to know each type and what a weak point is and how to try and overcome it. Don't look for a negative aspect that isn't there bud. These people came to him for his opinions and knowledge

If I get into RMR i'll have to shave my beard off, so while i'm training this year, to get in, i'm going to grow it out

when you look at the photos it's crazy, sometimes it looks like a father and his son when it's the same man!!

I’m only 22 and I’ve had a pretty strong mustache since I was about 16. It grows longer than I’ve ever let it but I’ve let it get to about 2 1/2 - 3 inches and my goatee has been up to 4-5 inches or so and it hadn’t slowed down when I trimmed it for my wife but the spots that don’t grow are where my sideburns and goatee connect and the small part under my bottom lip. I’ve grown it all out some but the 40 day mark has been about as long as I’ve let it go so this definitely gives me hope haha

I’ve noticed that the blonde parts of my beard are taking longer to grow in. I think it’s the same concept as new borns that are born bald and grow in their blonde hair after sometime. Also expecting the blonde parts to be the first that turn grey.

since university, I have had goatee, sometimes alternating with mustache and a few years with a beard, but now at 42 I intend to make it grow, it's a little patchy on cheeks... we'll see

Well being a red beard myself, I like the idea of colour difference, I used to be blonde in my childhood then I went chestnut brown as I got older, my beard definitely has a nice shine to it when the light catches it especially after you apply a little beard oil to it,

I just got out of the Air Force in February and I have been growing a beard for about 3 weeks now. I’ve never grown one for this long and I’m pretty sure I’m in the awkward stage. Can anybody offer any maintenance tips or products that I should be using?

I had about six to nine hairs on my chin from 19-21 I didn’t a beard till I was 25, and even now it’s still not what you’d call a “perfect” beard. My cheeks just started to fill in and I still have a patchy spot under my jaw. I didn’t even think I could grow a beard being half Samoan, but I guess my Spaniard half came in clutch.

How come I can't find any videos on this channel about Minoxidil as an option for patchy beards? Is it because you guys don't recommend it?

Actually, below lips aren't patches for some people, just different growth patterns, different genes. When you see full dense coverage except there, those aren't patches for sure.

Don't shave but maybe trim to make it even.

When I straighten my beard it’s not as straight as the majestic grey. I’m not sure if that IS naturally straight-ish.

You are the only person I ever heard say that the under-lip area is a "patchy" spot when beard doesn't grow there. I keep hearing you mention that, but I'm nearing 40 and had never heard anyone ever mention that this could even be considered "patchy". You're actually creating and generating more insecurity for people than helping by saying this in my opinion.

I don't understand why you call the spots under the lip patches, if the normal thing is to have them, it's like saying that someone has a patchy ass just because you have a bear when is not normal to have it HAHAHAHAHA, anyway , its just a normal/natural beard patterm

These masks we all have to wear are absolutely destroying my beard lol it curls forward around the mask :/
