Beryl slams Texas with torrential rain and winds
Hurricane Beryl slammed Texas with torrential rain and powerful winds that ripped up trees and knocked out power to communities.
The storm has since downgraded to a tropical storm and will continue to weaken as it moves northeast into the Mississippi River Valley.

i have lived in Louisiana for over 45 years and i can tell you that these hurricanes have become more frequent and more intense. If i could afford to move out i would. I don't care for the politics on this subject i am just being honest of what i experienced. God help us.

We've been without power since this morning in willis tx Edit: 2 days without power everything frozen is dethawed and it's cooler outside than inside center point says Wednesday at the earliest but we have tons of line workers that all showed up a few hours ago

Sucks. I know that they’re opening up Surfside to some of the residents right now and that they have (I believe) water restored there. Not sure about electricity since we aren’t there. Palestine lost electricity for about an hour and a half or so, but they just restored it. Hopefully yours will be back soon.

This looks worse than a Cat 1. When Irma hit Louisiana it was a Cat 3 and it looks exactly like this. This is doing roof damage for sure. It is difficult to experience because this situation goes on for hours. i remember wanting Irma to stop after my huge magnolia tree fell on the front of the house. It is bad. i am terrified of them now.
Texas sure has a good share of the climatic change. Praying for you guys

@@user-tz3fv1gm2j hurricanes have been hitting Texas and Florida since before they were Texas and Florida. They are a natural weather occurrence. The Gulf Coast has the perfect conditions for hurricanes. They will always happen.... idolatry or not 🤷
We could use some of that moisture in Arizona!

It was a Cat 1 when it hit landfall and stayed at 1 for a few hours
That gas station is Buc-ees. Its nearby my house. That hurricane howled non- stop for about 8 hours with 70- 80 mph winds.... per reports. It was frightening...
I'm hearing another day before we get our electric back😢.

I don't believe that this was a Cat 1. I think it will be upgraded to a Cat 2.
