I was a huge Dark souls fan and found out that Dark souls was heavily inspired by Berserk. So I googled an AMV to see what the deal is and this bad boy popped up. This was the best AMV I’ve seen and it legit made me start reading Berserk. 4 months later I’ve read all the way to chapter 361.. Berserk is by far the greatest story I’ve ever experienced in my life. It’s nothing short but breathtaking.. It legit cured my depression. All I gotta say is thank you whoever uploaded this video. You literally changed my life with this AMV.

I just finnished watching Berserk yesterday (not the CGI crap). Might seem boring to some people, but the end was the most disturbing animated shit I've seen so far. Berserk is a drama and dramas have no happy endings. It sucks but I can't stop watching them.

Spoilers: Crazy thing is he's faced Ganishka who's on a similar power level to Zodd here (ironically it was with Zodd's help too) and actually won. Granted that was some avatar of sorts that Ganishka had the ability to project and only Griffith who's obviously ascended to literal godhood actually killed Ganishka once and for all although Ganishka was even more powerful in that encounter since he had ascended to become an apostle again which ended up making him a giant monstrosity. Regardless at this point Guts is literally on a power level competitive to Zodd here.

romeo osuna it's called Berserk. The 1990 or 1999 version. There's a manga to this called Berserk. Dont watch the 2016/2017 version. After you complete the 1999 anime start where you left off in the manga

replace golden age arc to just berserk, and remove of fiction and I agree. People ride berserk a lot but I think it genuinely holds #1 manga ever, and I believe it to be the best story I have ever witnessed so far in my life. If you like Berserk I would highly recommend Vagabond, and recommend Vinland saga at least until the slave arc(around the slave arc the story becomes a lot slower and less action focused on purpose and a lot of people dislike that)

@@Rob526 I just meant golden age arc purely cos of the video. But yhh berserk is my favourite manga and I honestly think that nothing will top it in my lifetime to say the very least. I'm currently reading vagabond and the fact it's more of an biography about musashi and his endeavors bushido and his way of the sword is truly amazing

@@Rob526The fact that you follow some weak minded trend to dislike slave arc in Vinland Saga speaks volumes how much of shonen fan you are.

Ghostmane pulls alot of influence from this anime. I highly recommend it. 90s version only. Griffith is why he died his hair, mostly, sepheroth was another influence. Warning tho this anime is gorey af and has sexual violence snd alot of real issues. One of the best written animes ever imo

I watched this video nearly 5 years ago, I was like 12 and it absolutely shocked me, I didn't know there was animes this gnarly haha, I had no idea I would end up reading the manga later on and it was going to be the best thing I could ever read, maybe it was the law of causality and it was meant to happen hahah, thank you for making these sick music vids and thank you Kentaro for making the best manga of all times, I swear reading berserk literally changed my life. I can’t even say how genius this AMV is: I’ve never seen anything capture two of the oldest emotions so perfectly as it is animated, pure fear of Guts at 2:40 against a monster of monsters and the stare at 2:57 with pure anger just triggers something old and archetypical in me. Looking at the eyes you feel life threatening fear. Either you kill or get killed. Always come back to this video for this feeling. This is the rawest form of that emotion I’ve ever felt in my life. There is just something so old and nocturnal about that part. The beatswitch and the mood just captures it absolute perfectly. Just the oldest form of a struggle against an animal when there is no escape. A feeling deep imprinted in our blood due to our ancestors.
