When you think about it, all three of the Unforgiven songs kinda fit with Guts' own internal/external conflicts within the world of Berserk. Pt. 1 matches up to his terrible childhood and his hellish existence after the Eclipse, Pt. 2 his friendship with and subsequent betrayal by Griffith, and Pt. 3 fits with his realization upon returning to the Hawks before the Eclipse and to Godo's forge after Lost Children, that he took for granted his new family in the Hawks and his romance with Casca.

Great video! Berserk 97 is still the best anime ever. It's like an unfinished masterpiece.

Absolutely agreed. Now with the manga living on as Mirua’s legacy the other arcs deserve proper adaptations more than ever. There’s some salvageable material from the 2016 attempt… some.

Oh hey it's me from 4 years ago! Yeah, never really got into Berserk, not much of a fan of "dark somber world where sadness and dread reign above all" kind of universe too monotone for my tastes. More of a Kill la Kill or JoJo kind of guy.
