    I love 💕 my A300, because it fits me. I have not patterned it yet but I have shot a few rounds of trap and it does well. I am a very short, big man so gun fit is EVERYTHING to me. When I have the extra money 💰 I plan to get the 24 inch barrel for upland birds and turkeys 🦃.

    This is why I've always shot 6's at teal and 4's for other ducks. I won't switch to 1's or 2's until really late in duck season. Always gotten much better pattern from the smaller shot sizes.

    Love my M3000! I haven't tried it with steel, but it patterns beautifully with buckshot.

    Sweet vid! I have been shooting just for fun lately and I shoot a Winchester sxp3 and I shoot 2 for regular season because we dont have a teal season but I shoot BB for goose season which we have an early goose instead of teal.

    Actually they should have been shooting with a rest and used a bigger piece of paper to see the whole pattern.

    I've been watching your videos since you started posting, love them and can't wait for what you'll put out next. I just started this year filming my trap shooting and a little trick shooting as well. I'm hopeful that i can start filming all my hunts like FDH. Your videos, not the big names in hunting, but your family/crew was my inspiration to pick up the camera. Thank you for that!

    Can’t go wrong with an a300, especially with an aftermarket improved modified choke.

    probably should check m3000 with a different shell manufacturer to verify its still shooting high.if it does you may need to shim

  • @jackbuendgen2313
    @jackbuendgen23135 жыл бұрын

    The stoger probably patterns high. Which is fine because it makes you focus on the bird rather than the bead of the gun.

    Elliott did you buy the new Federal Speed Shok? It’s my understanding that this year’s Speed Shok is a different load. They have a new box which makes it discernible from the old Speed Shok. I patterned my Benelli with the new Speed Shok but am having trouble finding an entire case of it.

    Those stoegers are so heavy compared to the benellis, never shot a beretta, but I do love my Benelli vinci. Is there any difference in cleaning a Beretta vs a Benelli with the ID system?

  • @FreelanceDuckHunting

    @FreelanceDuckHunting

    The Berretta is gas operated and the . Benelli is inertia. Gas driven systems are always going to be dirtier and need more frequent cleaning. As far as the mechanics of the cleaning I have never actually broken apart an inertia driven system myself.

    Why don't you pattern the guns with a bigger paper and do a percentage of shot in a 30 inch circle. This will give real information on the gun and shell combinations.

    I shoot a with the full choke in my a300 all the time. Pattern is amazing between 15-40 yards. I wasn't satisfied with the modified that's why I moved it up to the full

  • @FreelanceDuckHunting

    @FreelanceDuckHunting

    If you look at the charts choke makers themselves make they don’t recommend a full choke for that range. If you are not going to shoot over 40 yards there’s no reason to use a full choke. You’ll kill more birds with a modified.

  • @JesseSVSmith

    There's times more often than I'd like to admit with geese primarily that my shots do reach 40+ yards. The full is just what I've grown accustomed to. And fwiw I shoot 3 inch 3 Winchester for everything from ducks to geese. Just a matter of preferance

    Was just wondering, we hunt public land in Loveland CO and it is realer hard to get a good number of birds to eat on for the year. We hunt 3 to 4 times a week November till end of the season. It is really hard to get birds to decoy till it freezes. We are sometimes not the best shot in the world but we do our best. Just was quirous if heavy shot might help improve our odds?
