Berlin - Take My Breath Away [Instr. Cover]

This is my instrumental cover version of Berlin's 1986 chart-topping smash hit 'Take My Breath Away', from the 'Top Gun' movie soundtrack (© CBS / Columbia Records) and their own studio album 'Count Three and Pray' (© Mercury Records). The song was written by Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock. My version was sequenced, recorded and mixed in Presonus' Studio One Professional DAW using a Faderport 16 controller. The following instruments and effects were used:
- Presonus Impact XT: drums (LinnDrum kick, snare and hi-hat samples)
- Korg Kronos: percussion (tambourine, congas & clave)
- Arturia DX7 V: fretless bass (with a little modulation) and bell
- Roland Cloud Jupiter-8: first string pad (soft)
- Arturia Prophet-5 V: second string pad (slightly harsher)
- Arturia Solina V: third string pad (high)
- Roland Jupiter-X: 16th-note sequence and vox pads
- Fender Stratocaster through Roland Jazz Chorus-22 amp: electric rhythm guitar
- Arturia JUN-6 chorus,
- Presonus Beat Delay,
- Arturia LX-24 (room and hall reverbs),
- Presonus ProEQ3 equaliser,
- UAD LA-2A compressor (on some individual tracks),
- Arturia VCA-65 compressor (on mix bus),
- Arturia Tube-Culture (on mix bus for saturation),
- Presonus Binaural Pan (for added stereo width),
- Presonus Limiter2 (two instances: one in soft clip mode to tame some peaks and one to bring the volume up),
- YouLean Loudness Meter Free (to monitor average loudness),
- Presonus Spectrum Meter.

Thanks. I really liked it at the time but it's well overplayed.
