I mentioned Berberine to my Doctor. She claimed she had never heard of Berberine and immediately started the Ozempic conversation. My A1C is 6.2, Fasting Blood Sugar 105. She said my other alternative was Metformin. I felt unheard. I purchased my first bottle of Berberine that day. I’ve had no side effects taking it with meals and MCT oil. I’ll get my blood work/labs in 6 months and evaluate myself. Im a retired RN and frustrated with the lack of education r/t supplements in our “medical professional”.

Like I’ve said in many other rants on KZread, doctors cannot be expected to know about supplements when they can’t even treat diabetes correctly. I’m a physician and I would love for one of my colleagues to actually know what they’re effing doing.

Berberine is like 4 or 5 supplements in one. I can save money and stay healthy. It doesnt seem to have any ill effects for me so far. Don't need cinnamon or bitter melon, don't need an anti parasitic, don't need bone broth, don't need to OD on garlic to lower cholesterol. This is great. I just stumbled into this stuff.

Perhaps you should research and growv it yourself if possable. I developed a dudden very as in VERY strong craving for arugula...known also as rocket lettuce. When I could no longerv find enogh in the store,bI found a Weed & Feed place snd bought seeds. They grew easily and I not only seeded my lawn but thstb of my neighbor's. I ate up tob10 cups a day. I was not sure why but I knew inherently it was not hurting me. Quite the contrary. It was after Inwas getting better I was ablecto research it, finding out it was the highest scource of NO2 and vit K. Apparently, not knowing yet I was long time uber flouritoxic (to a less aggressive extent... mercury toxic), it had been helping me clearnout detox pathways. I learned to trust & listen to what my cells need. If it does no harm, you can sure tell when it had a positive effect. Berberine is differently, for me a people friendly find I might be growing in my garden someday.

I take berberine in the form of Barberry tea which I harvest from the branches of the barberry bush so it is difficult 4 me to get an exact dosage. I drink small amounts throughout the day and have been doing so for about a year without any apparent side effects.

Great content!... immediately subbed after watching berberine videos! Do you have any coverage of MTHFR genetic differences and the Methylation cycle... maybe how they impact our individual immune/detox systems when exposed to VIRUSES and other pathogens? I can't find any knowledgeable doctors covering this on YTube... you seem to be years ahead of most (99% of doctors make the rest of you look bad! 🙃), so fingers crossed!

Dr. Sung, just found your channel while researching Berberine. Thank you! I have a question regarding the impact of Berberine on muscle growth. I understand from other research I’ve read that it may have a negative effect on muscle growth if taken around workouts. What I’m unsure of is the timing of taking Berberine in conjunction with weightlifting. I would be fine if I could take it on “off” days from the gym and still receive the other benefits of Berberine. Do you have any information on this subject. Thanks again!

i´m not male, so i´m no Boy builder but i´ve heard to take it directly before your training, so i would say 30 min before. Because the beberine helps to transport glucose into the muscle, so that the glucose can be convderted and adapted. Have you already taken it regularly?
