Hey guys! Love the armies, boo the bears 😂 Obligatory rules check: Aside from forgetting your charge bonuses, which has already been mentioned, only rule mistake I saw is for one of the archers. Yes they have mountain dweller, however it is rerolls for jump tests not +1 (that’s cave dweller)

Can you tell I haven't used the Fiefdoms for a while 😂 But yes boo the bears! Almost as bad as Sean!

Really not much that can deal with the Bears below 600pts. The Beornings are a different matter, but the fuzzy boys are nigh on unstoppable.

Yeah the entire plan was kill the beornings and then just hope to do in a bear. Shouldn't have left duinhir exposed though that was silly

My first Batrep watching the Bears LL, thanks for doing. they are definitely powerful.

Quite a fun cheeky game, bears on the other hand are a force to be reckoned with under 600, happily to say that they haven´t won any tourneys here, i was hopefull they got like a nerf for the +5 save to a 6+ save o something. Awesome battlereport guys, keep it up

Cheers mate, yeah we wanted to put a game out there with the bears just for those who haven't seen them much so was very much light hearted. They have won a couple of events over here but it's the consistent top 5 finishes that are causing a nuisance

26:10 - that fence is less than half Beorns height, so he could've backed away right? Or were the models actually blocking the retreat?

The rules say you can't back away over any obstacles so even if it's only half his height he still can't back away over it. I imagine it as though he's fighting for his life, steps backwards, and trips over a small log he'd normally have been able to walk over essily

@@testermatt89 no worries mate. Yeah normal moves they can cross fine, you don't get the defending barriers bonus against them but they can't back away incase they slip trip or fall

Why no extra attack for Imrahil / the knights on the charge? They’re cavalry and the bears are infantry so should get the extra one right?

@@David_Jackson39 oh no just a silly mistake in the game. You'll be amazed how many we make even after all these games 😂

Heads up if I recall barriers correctly: 1. At 18:15 If you win the combat and kill the defender, Henrys beorning can hop the barrier 2. At 19:11 Beorn wins his combat and kills 2 warriors, the third is still defending the barrier so should still have an in the way? Same at 24:26, the beorning will need to take an in the way for the archer Other than that, I still hate bears 😂😂

The first one you note is correct yes but Henry had previously said something about very much not wanting to be inside the pen. The second one there is no advantage to defending a barrier when the model is greater than twice the size of the barrier

yeah they're so hard to stop once they get going. Often boils down to a war of attrition and having things that can scare them into using resources but that's a bit of a struggle at the low points

Henry was holding the camera, asked to refill the section as he thought his finger was covering the lens. I forgot to edit it out

Not sure if it was a joke/or biased but why do you think the blackroot archers are the best?

For the couple of turns that they're fully buffed up they are easily up there with the best archers in the game. Hitting on 3s re rolling 1s then re rolling all failed wounds is pretty darn good. They just only get it for like a turn or two.

@@roboretro we don't have any videos going through specific armies like that I don't think. But essentially slap duinhir and some archers down and have a lovely time

@@AtomicCards amazing, thanks for the advice! Am I right in thinking you couldn't do a full army of these because they class as an archer unit so they contribute towards the total bow limit, even if you do kit them out with spears or use them as swordsmen?

yes that's right. So you tend to see people taking a handful of clansmen, some men at arms and then a block of the archers @@roboretro

Honestly i'm starting to decline games against the bears ^^
