He was, but unfortunately he kept fighting for decisions instead of wins. It sucked because the WEC/UFC years were in his prime and he only started going for finishes again after Pettis arm barred him.

There’s been so much debate about who the lightweight goat is khabib or olivera but i find it incredibly disrespectful that they don’t ever bring up this man in the debate it just shows how little “hardcore” fans have extensive intrest in the sport Like seriously this is easily one of the greatest preformances in title fight history and I’ve literally never heard anyone put it in there list easily the least apriceated and one of the most exiting champions in the sports history

He was lightweight champion and went on an almost 12 fight win streak if Pettis hadn’t split it in half. I always enjoy seeing Diaz getting his ass thoroughly beat. I will admit that he is tough as they come. He almost always provides an entertaining fight. I have no idea how the judges come up with their scores. Henderson clearly outscored him at least 2-1 in every round.

The intimidating wasn’t gonna work for Nate against benson. He’s one of the toughest guys to ever step foot in the octagon and not scared of anyone.

This was the very first ufc fight I ever saw when I was in 9th grade. It honestly started my love for the sport.
