His stories slightly change from the past. Like Instead of him and his "Buddy" Eric who he has known since he was 5 months old forming a band with a girl who ended up bailing on them as the singer and they decided he would sing and they would be so good they would be the envy of the school and get all the girls, he now on this show says he played piano for SOMEONE, for a BAND and their singer quit so he gave it a shot. No mention of the close friendship with Eric. He like a year ago said, he quit Idol because if he did pursue music he didn't want to be labeled the guy who made it because of Idol. Now he says after being there it wasn't his vibe and he didn't even want to do music and thought it would be fun, playing around with it. if he ended up going far on the show he didn't want to like be there be like I don't want to do music so why am I here? I didn't deserve to be there like. He actually met with Dan Renyolds to learn to write songs and signed with a Manager. Said before he was in college for Architecture and interior design and thought that was his path. Here he says he thought he would be in sports. Then he shouts out his best friend Eric when talking about what it's like growing up with only sisters. he is very talented, it's just strange how his own stories about starting out change or he omits information.
