I've been using the BenQ GV30 Portable Speakers for a few months. It is a really nice projector with a unique design and great audio. However, it is only 720p native resolution and has a high price tag. So, is it worth it?
Overall, my family has really enjoyed our time with the GV30 but I'd only recommend it if you plan on taking advantage of all its features. If you want something more for a complete home theater setup, you may want to look elsewhere.

Think it is worth the price?
Great review! Very clear and concise. Everyone complains on the price for the specs but this is so adaptable compared to most portable speakers. No tripod or external speakers needed. You get an Android TV/Chromecast with the purchase. And decent battery life. That convienence has to be factored in.

You said 720p gives great output upto 100 inches right? is it possible to select screen size (like dropdown in settings for choosing size: 32inch, 48inch etc like tv sizes) or we have to move the projector front and back for it to change size?
What do you recommend as a stationary alternative at 7:00?

Right on!
Have this a year now. Last update it doesn't support the older film formats now and comes up with file not supported. I was using chromecast hd instead of the BenQ one and it works even better also Netflix restrictions don't make sense. Think they should give up on their software and change it to Chromecast
