There is hope that a more varied form of hip hop comes back where not all artists sound the same and babble on the same subject matter. Here, the drums are on point, a nice cool laid back sample sets the mood and an artist that feels like he's talking to the listener rather than empty performative showmanship is what folks are digging. The children of today need to get back to the instruments in order to create a new wave of this moving forward.

Slept on? Man, "slept on"/"over/underrated" are so overused/used incorrectly nowadays it isn't even funny. Ever since I started turning people around here on to Griselda, it's almost all a lot of people I know are listening to at the moment as far as newer shit goes (and I'm in the MW) But I guess that will never be the same in every area. TT4 and GDMM are the two best projects to drop in 2022, and it really isn't even close. I'm not a fan of West, like at all (I actually go through the trouble of cutting his verses out of any Tracks I absolutely love that I feel were ruined by his voice/flow... John Woo Flick is a damn good example... I absolutely cant stand him, but that's just my opinion), so I don't know if he has a project slated to drop soon or anything, but Benny and Con have owned 2022. Kendrick drops in less than a month though, which is going to be massive for most. I'll still be wearing the system in my SUV the fuck out listening to TT3/4, FKtaG, and GDMM while driving though, no question. EDIT: Not sure why I thought Kendrick drops this week...Damn Rona fever 🙄

I’m going to try this on in the car to give it a good chance, but the beat is too “light” for me, especially if you compare it to my favorite two. Super Plug is my #3.
