Seriously one of the best parts of Oppenheimer. His accent was on point.

He may have been a douchebag, but that’s what makes him the funniest character in my opinion!
People really acting like he’s some random dude. This guy’s directed two movies that are some of the best ever made.

I'd argue that HKW, GoodTime and Uncut Gems are three of the greatest American contemporary movies of this century

HONESTLY!
I got home from oppenheimer and immediately had to investigate who played Teller fully knowing who the Safdie brothers were (but never having seen their faces). Learning that Benny played one of the most crucial parts in the movie was pleasantly surprising! His performance was incredible without the benefit of knowing that he was a major Hollywood player beforehand.
Quite possibly my favorite character in Oppenheimer dude killed it

Actually been re-watching GoodTime recently after some watching some interviews the Safdies brothers did when the movie came out. The way they made the movie and the reason they created it are as amazing as the movie itself.
Put respect on the safdie brothers name

Are you there God, is such a wonderful, sweet, funny, touching movie. Loved it. And Safdie is great in it.
Excellent performance as edward teller!

Good time amazing movie
My favorite character and performance in Oppenheimer, good work man.
Took my tween to see Are you There God and they loved it. I also appreciate thr subtle nods to diversity in the film.
I used to tell Benny, back when i luckily just happened to be at the same college as him, like 2 yrs his junior, "Hey man, let's be in a movie together." i still stand by that.
Love Benny…super down to earth & an intelligent. I could listen to him talk for hours!
Great interview, thanks for sharing
Dude was excellent in Oppenheimer
LEGENDARY NY SHIT
IF YALL DONT KNOW BENNY SAFDIE YALL DONT KNOW NY AND NY FILM

Benny Safdie for Good Time.
@11:30 Box office for kid films is about what is recently interesting to kids. Kids don't read Judy Bloom now. They should have made this in the 80s, 90s or early aughts. Now kids like others authors, like Neil Gaiman. The Babysitter's Club and Judy Bloom are 80s books -- that's a long time ago for kids now. That's like if you were a 90s kid being told to watch a movie about a book that was cool in the 50s.
Good Time *****
Buster keaton was different!
I thought this was Jimmy from Degrassi
I hate Charlemagne, but I love Benny and this was actually an enjoyable interview
09:29 Columbia prep 🥴🥴
charlamagne restating exactly what Safdie said about Oppenheimer and AI in an effort to sound intelligent is comical.
Isn't New York built on top of a huge quartz crystal..maybe that contributes to the connectedness
I was not expecting to see Cory Matthews on this show.

Benny Safdie explaining Italian neorealist cinema, on the Breakfast Club, is unbelievably cute and hilarious. You could recite ancient hebrew scripture to these people and they'd understand as much of what's been said.
