Benny was hugely popular in China, so woke people... stop being offended on behalf of races and cultures you don't even belong to and enjoy a good laugh with the master of comedy.

I feel that the best of any comedy is when comedians are laughing at themselves. British comedians are generally known for their hilarious ability to laugh at themselves. I don't personally count Benny Hill as one of those comedians. To me, it's fortunate that his performances are now part of history books - fondly remembered by some, but I was not personally a fan.

You won't get better laughs than this.Benny was a brilliant word Smith Never bettered😂😂😂❤

@@phugoid Benny calls the Isle of Wight _"overseas"_ (from Britain). Because it's such a short-distance away, the customs man says _"I would hardly call it overseas"_ Benny says _"You try walking there."_ (Despite it being a short distance, it's still an island and you'd get pretty wet if you tried walking there.)

I remember watching this on TV . . . I laughed then . . . this is the first time I've seen it online since - funny, funny, funny! The great Benny Hill at his very best!!

Oh gosh .. this would be canceled in this day and age . I used to watch Benny hill and he is hilarious !

Benny at his best,this is one of his best ever sketches,but what is often overlooked is his side kicks that are with him, and in this sketch Bob Todd was superb,British comedy at its best.

An even funnier one has Hill as a Chinese man seeking a visa to enter or live in the UK.

Mr Chow Mein was the greatest.

One of the funniest lines ‘Mr Chow Mein’ asked Henry McGee in another sketch was - “When did you last have a General Erection?”...😅

It's no wonder people remember Benny with such affection, he really was brilliantly funny. And he wrote all this stuff himself.

What a fine actor! I saw him in King Real, Hamret and the Melly Wives of Windsol.

Can't remember what I did yesterday - but still remember BH as One Lung Ho - 50 yrs ago

Please tell me they made a dvd with just all of Mr. Chow mein clips. The benny hill gang were the funniest lot by far.

I had a Thai girlfriend in Bangkok. One day she was singing "I believe I can fry" I said "Can you do me a couple of eggs then?" She gave me a playful clout for that.

Not at all. Just see it as an extended skit done for laughs based on well-known Chinese inability to pronounce the letter "r”。

What people don't realise is when Benny Hill was much younger and in some old black & white movies he had a real menacing presence but also a charismatic presence Because he's quite tall & well built, However the most surprising thing was his Striking resemblance to Leonardo Dicaprio.😲🤫

I hardly call IOW overseas....retort from Benny....you try walking there..... was a fantastic gag, to be repeated many years later by Uncle Albert of Fools and Horses fame.😊.
