This is a beautiful song/video. The message is a great concept. BUT, I do think that to release such a song and to not have a single girl represented here, just rubs me the wrong way. I'm NOT suggesting to start casting women and teenage girls in heimish music videos. However, for a song that is centered around the theme of "our children are our future and mission etc", should have some form of female representation i.e. preschool girls, toddlers etc. Especially considering this is a project of Torah U'Mesorah, which represents all of our Mosdos. (And simply inserting the word "Morah" into the lyrics does not count.) I understand that filming in multiple locations makes it more costly and logistically challenging, but that's not an excuse. If I choose to watch this video with my daughter, I shouldn't have to start answering her questions like "Am I also the future of Klal Yisroel?" There have been plenty of songs released recently in recognition of Morahs and about our children etc, that have effectively represented girls/women in a tzniusdik and refined manner. As a father of two girls who are INDEED, ALSO the future of Klal Yisroel, this bothers me a bit. That's all. I'm curious to know how others feel.

Since boys and girls in our community generally learn in separate schools, I think they simply did not want to set up the filming crew twice... Girls are very much a part of our mission. In a way even more so than boys since that is how jewishness is passed to the next generation

I doubt this is about the girls comfort or that unanimously all parents of girls vs boys objected to their daughters being shown. This is about corrupted community standards (not halacha) when it comes to our daughters.

Because a community standard is created when a majority of the community wants to uphold that standard. Yes, it sometimes gets corrupted and people aren't angels and they make mistakes. And just a side note, I see a different video with Benny Friedman and Torah Umesorah with a similar theme that does feature boys and girls. I dont think anyone thought so deeply into doing a boys only video this time. You seem to be very bitter about how girls are treated in this (your?) community. Maybe take a look at the video Peter Santenelo recorded with Orthodox women. It might help you feel a bit better.

Girls are an equal part of the mission. However, equal is not the same. It is actually quite the opposite. We treasure our girls and woman for without them there is no future. Will you display your precious silver, gold and diamonds on the street with no protection? Aaah now you can challenge, are the boys and men not precious treasures? And there you go around and around....

@@surikinzbrunner11 KZread is a very public platform. There are videos as the one you describe when it is just for the community (usually fundraisers). No one is hiding the girls, they (and as kids their parents too) don't want to be displayed in such a way. For the most part , there are obviously outliers to every generalization

It sends a very poor message of how Jewish girls in Orthodox communities are regarded: not to be seen, not to be educated. It is so ingrained that it probably did not cross anyone's mind to include that. Girls here know their worth, they don't need to be included so you feel good
