One of your best interpretations yet. Rock on man!
That was great! Haven’t watched in quite awhile but I hope you’re in good health man! That health update awhile back was scary. Thanks for your straight to the point no nonsense approach to demonstrating songs. It’s great for guitarists that are able to pick up songs pretty easily.

yep......ditto,
if you do the g6 with your pinky, you can do the main piano riff pretty easily at the cost of the chromatic descent though
I worked that Stones tour (your shirt) Tattoo You in 81 at Philly. Great lesson

Farticus Maximus, I was at that concert George Thorogood was great, then a long wait finally Journey who played maybe an hour. Then another long wait before Jagger and the boys blew the doors off.
Nice work 👍
I love this song
I like how you take a piano song and make it your own!! You rock!
Well done as always!!
Probably my favorite Elton song. Also, how about Fdim7?
Its quite funny I do always find ya when I'm sailing thought the Music I Love.....again you should come to Alcalá de Henarss, Madrid, Spain , and have a couple of week playing and recording with me, I got the Billonarie Stuff( out of fashion maybe ....Hahahjajajja....its too good to be a today's " infraMusiC". All the best 😉😎
Awesome help..Thanks Mate
NICE!!!
G diminished is fine. Since every note in the diminished scale is exactly 1.5 steps from the last (consistently) without resolution, it could be any number of "diminished" chords if it wanted to be. In this case, since we are basically playing in Am/G, I would just call it as a G dim/root on D or an D dim, root on 5th, or lastly and more accurately, Fdim, root on 4th, which is exactly what those notes happen to be. Diminished Scales are cool as are whole-tone scales. Jimmy Page loved to use them. The whole tone scale is crazy too. Each note is exactly one step from the next, never resolving. No half steps whatsoever. I'm sure you could care less, but yeah, that is a Diminished chord my good brother! Thanks for these lessons man. I've said it before, advanced teachers are hard to find. I learn from you and play along and then make it my own version based on the exact same chords. I love to sing the song also, but fingerstyle is just as fun at the bar.
Thank you!!
awesome
Still I get amazed when I remenber what I wrote down that place.....among all like 14 - 16 Good" old" tunes....some of them on a strange open chordS....??😉🌱🍀🌳💚😂
Top!
Have you been following 12tone?
check out the 75 version with Caleb and Davey, lotta awesome songs played in 75
James again an excellent lesson I remember this song in high school......ouch
Bennie and jets !😃😄😁😁😇

yeah, it's more in the key of G, but yeah, something like G or C. For instance, if you sense there's a resolution as Elton says '...JETS' then that's G.

@@bwebb90 Not with the Fmaj7 chord figuring so heavily. Two major chords a full step apart usually means the the higher chord (the G) is the V chord. So C should be the I. Or maybe it's in A minor. And then it goes somewhere else The B minor has an odd one out with the F# 5th. Which is also in the Dmaj. The "jazzy" chord is a Bdim7 (VII) with the flat 5th in the bass and the G# is not in Cmaj or Gmaj. And the C7 with the Bb.... I should have paid closer attention to 12Tone last Friday.

Well there are sharps and flats so although possible it’s probably not C, most likely G major or some closely related key
It's an Fdim7
Do you know I did created, I did learn and I tried , I a strange open chords with fantastic " resultados" in a crap old house in England, Preston , Lancashire from 1998 to 2002...I met the old Hippy and doctor Michael who was like 50 and he used to *"teach "me about the felling about Bob Dylan's tune on him...two of us sitting in two armchair listening music from and old Cd's machine as we were in 1971 with lots oftapes and records.....
Chords? I need chords
