Some people miss the point, complaining about wasted money that could have kept Reynolds at the club. It wasn't about the money, it was about committing to a longer term contract that was the sticking point. They also miss the point that Wayne made, about a senior player's influence around the club, their professionalism and experience and their knowledge of the game that can be priceless to a club in the effect it can have on the other players in the squad. Even the more experienced senior players at the Rabbitohs learned from Benji. Benji was a true ambassador to the game and will be sorely missed. I hope he stays involved in the game, not just in commentary, but that he gets involved in coaching. IMHO, I believe Benji still has so much to offer the NRL.
