Great video, what a difference removing the spring on the middle pin. I was to remove only the center pin and remove the spring. Watch that little C clip it can jump into an alternate universe if you are not paying attention.

With your knowledge, experience and just plain good common sense it would be great if you did yearly episodes on your recommendations on airguns to get by price point, type of use (ex. hunting vs plinking), etc... I find your reviews more informative and objective than any just about any of the other reviewers.

I tried the way you provided, and it's really cool that I can contact you about putting it back together. I did what you said and replaced sping to a more durable clothespin spring, and wouldn't you know it .. I shot a hole through my house with brick siding and into my neighbors house witch is lucky considering it was the starter house. Then after throwing things around because it was not working. They finally got the 12 gauge out of my hands and went back to working on this mess. I am still waiting on the return of my Mossberg.

Nice one 😎👍👍👍 another save of the day! Only minus is with out sping tension the M5 screw on trigger (talking about UM Trevox) makes trigger wobble and if not pushed up by finger safety cant be set. Just to add what i did i took spring out and held it slightly compressed in pliers then heat it up with small blowtorch literally few second and spring tension just dies you can feel it, as soon as that happened dip in cold water and there you go same spring but with half resistance. Plus longer m5 screw makes it perfect. Oh and you can adjust m5 screw with out gun being under pressure. Just tightening scred untill safety stops sliding. Thanks for you help and advice this made a huge difference 😊

This one has me wishing KZread had a love button. Coming from a bench rest and precision background, I'm an admitted trigger snob. And that's one reason I don't own any Crosman/Benjamin guns and another reason I love my anemic p-17 even being somewhat of a hot rodder. In fact, a trigger mod was one of my first experiences taking apart an airgun. In my gen 1 Gamo whisper with it's theoben style trigger, I did a similar mod, eliminating the first stage spring and adding the rc bearing and a longer seer engagement screw.

I’m also a trigger snob, I only run Geissele Automatics triggers in my ARs, ALG Defense triggers in my AKs, Volquartsen triggers in my Rugers, and Gray Guns triggers in my Sig Sauers, meaning I have multiple of each. I say all of this to hopefully build a bit of rapport with you as a fellow trigger snob and you hopefully have a bit of faith I do know what I’m talking about and I’m not just window shopping online and then commenting as if I’m a Delta Force Commander Chief Governer POTUS with all forms of lead slingers. So, assuming you have a bit of faith that I can judge a triggers worthiness and value and usability, I want to address your comment stating you own no Crosman/Benjamin’s because of their lacking triggers. I encourage you to pick up a Benjamin Marauder/Armada and have yourself a pull on its trigger. It’s quite beautiful and a lovely bit of machining, particularly for a sub $600 air rifle. Also, the Benjamin Trail NP XL .25 cal break barrel air rifle has promise. The stock trigger is pretty crap but for a measly $30 plus a couple bucks shipping you can purchase an aftermarket trigger (the only one made, Google it and you’ll find only it) that turns a trigger frown upside down.

@@dustang5.O I should have specified, when I referenced cross/Benji's I was referring primarily to there break barrels and some of their pneumatics. As far as pcp's, in my book, if they can't break under 2lbs or have any 2nd stage roll that can't be tuned out without mods, it doesn't even rank as a shooter.

This worked great. I flipped the spring around so its just hanging on the pin with no tension, since it is acting as a spacer to center that sear bar or whatever it is. Working great and much better to shoot, 500+ shots since mod so far, Thanks!

Just bought my Benjamin Trail NP Mark II Air Pistol and after a few dozen shots its setup was pitiful. You need to shoot with a rest, clamp it in and pray you hit something cause the trigger pull it outrageous. It WILL pull left or right depending on which hand you shoot with. I used both and each had the same results. So off to the internet I go in search of changes that can be made to the pull and found this video. I am fairly competent so I watched the video, took notes and then tried this change. The hardest part to that fix was getting the safety and spring figured out. Took the pistol back out and tried again and a BIG difference. 6+ lbs. on any trigger is too much and I don't have the fancy trigger pull measuring but regardless, this fix WORKS. Thanks!

This was an extremely easy modification to perform. I in fact polished the entirety of the trigger assembly including the housing. I also swapped out the pre-existing trigger tensioning spring for a lighter one. I now have a 2.22 lb single stage trigger with a 3/16 of an inch trigger travel. This has turned out to be a very nice Body Mod & Build by Bill 😉🤨🇺🇸💯‼️

If anybody wants to do it the easy way that spring he tells you to replace just snip those ears off so we can they can rotate inside also you can also put oil in 2 spots what are you looking at it's a three- arm linkage firing system like a High Point just put a drop of oil in the front part and the back part of the linkage arms where they meet also put three drops of oil on the rivets the hold assembly together just like a real firearm wipe it all clean and put back together

So i just did the spring removal. In addition i added a spacer to the end of the adjustment screw so there's no space. This is a hair trigger now. For anyone wanting to do this make sure the safety spring ends up back in the center slot of the handle/stock when reassembling. Thanks for the advice. This is much easier on the finger now.

Yea. Taking pics is surely a good thing. Can easily then also help others too with things afterwards. Many can be a bit worried to F up their stuff when disassembling for the first time. Pics help often out explaining things so much better and easier. Personally would though not bother to buy one of these just to get to disassemble one for modding. Surely a nice pistol - but not really for me.

@@AirgunDetectives Arrived today - thought I’d give 1st impressions. Yep, it’s heavy, and as you mentioned, it’s a lot of gun for the price ( $107 - I don’t see how they can build them for this low price - if I had to do a blind guess, I’d put the price around $150+ ). Trigger seems to be OK for me (trained to shoot with middle finger on trigger, index/forefinger along the barrel for stability - not the best for revolvers and heavier / longer barrels). I played guitar most of my career, so maybe my fingers are stronger than average. The most difficult part for me is breaking the barrel, however the actual pump is easy.
