I use a leaf bag. It makes it fun to collect leaves to the point I call picking up leaves harvest, time!

I have a John Deere 140 riding mower. What can I attach to it to catch the grass. My drain field has tall thick grass

Next time mulch first…you’ll get a lot more out of that bag.

Great vid! Did you have any blowback near where the bagger lid hinge is? No matter how tight I tie the bag there’s always a slight gap to allow mulched leaves, dirt, and dust to fly out onto my back.

Thanks!! Yeah, when I first installed that it happened to me. After I tightened it up I had minimal issues.

If you had a rear blower to suck out the discharge tube it work better.

Did you have to buy the attachment that amazon was offering with it or just use the attachment came with the rider? Mine does clog up when the grass is moist

I didn't have to buy any other attachment, it just went right around the standard bagger system

Never buy a mower with a tube for extraction they always get blocked. Get a direct rear one

That's the worst part about them! It would be nice to have one of those but for 3x the price it's out of reach for a majority of the market. Thanks for joining us Alan! 🤙🤙

@@BreakFreeHomestead not sure which country your in but most are rear in UK and no difference in price. Why should there be that difference in price? Personally I can't see the advantage of it, mines got a 30ltr collector fitted and its easy to empty. Think if I had one it be a 5 minute wonder and wouldn't bother with it.

Wow! I'm in the US and its pretty much the standard for side discharge, I've never actually seen a read discharge besides a professional model but I had to search it and it looks like about $3,500 for one!

@@BreakFreeHomestead Good day my friend, sure you can pay any amount for anything but then it all depends on brand name and what you use it for, here we say horses for courses. The average new twin blade 40 inch rear discharge tractor is £2000 suitable for 1 acre but of course eBay has many used ones far cheaper. Shame I can't upload pic of mine but you must be able to see them on the internet. Maybe this link will work. Pic of mine photos.app.goo.gl/hmouqxNR6nBJ7XSh8

If your tractor has a rear blower to suck the debris out the side discharge it works fine

@@BreakFreeHomestead I was surprised. My son needs a system for a Cub Cadet, which has a terrible bagger system, but you can buy parts for their system. You can buy the chute piece and build a system like that one shown in the video. He already has a cart for it, so, this would work!
