Ours meowed for 3 days non stop.. we couldnt sleep, and googled a lot about wtf is happening. The more i read, the more i was like "omg what have we done"... Bengals are not your regular cat.

@Zoe Stearns to be honest we found her on kijiji adds, i really feared it would be a scam and almost turned back on the way to the seller. It turned out everything was ok. I learned a lot about the breed during these 3 days we couldn't sleep. If i would look for another Bengal, i would not search kijiji adds again, id google for a good breeder and pay full price. Bengals are known for having genetic diseases, if i knew before, i wouldn't have bought from that seller. Also note that these cats are little tornados, she allready destroyed an easy 1000$ worth of electronic devices by biting the cables. They sprint at a crazy speed and require a few hours of your time for playing every day. I'd say, bengals are cats for experts. Overall though, no regrets, i love her so much, and she's too much fun. Beautiful cat - and a beautiful couple too! That was really instructive about how to introduce a new kitten into the home, and how to train them at a basic level, and you seem really personable and loving. Kona's probably thinking she has the best staff in the world!

Be sure to check the shelters, that's how I got mine for 20.00. Many are surrendered by people that don't know what they are getting into, and don't realize how high energy they are, Plus unlike a regular house cat, they don't sleep a whole lot, especially at night., The hallway in my house sounds like a bowling alley, and he seldom walks anywhere, always a full speed run, he also can jump from the floor to the top of the refrigerator.

I’ve got three Bengals and they are an absolute joy! I love them to bits. Lots of Bengal vids on my channel.

Omg this is my favorite video you guys have put out I love it!! When Kona was crying my cats started freaking out around my house lol. Hope you guys are having the best time ever watching her grow more and more every day. ❤

Lol from 11pm to 1am our 1 year old is terrorizing the house with giggles! Her energy is hilarious. If everyone is quiet she will go for a bottle cap and play hockey throughout the house kicking it down the stairs. Bringing it back up and repeating until we take it from her 💯 every single night lol!

We adopted 2 kittens from a shelter last month and they didn’t know what breed they were exactly, which was fine for us. Although now we know at 12 weeks old that they are definitely 1/2 bengal. Wow they are fun!

Called himself a weirdo! LOL! Love you guys from there! :-) LIl’ MEooWW Kitty!!!

I've had a lot of cats and that meowing as a kitten is totally normal because up until this point that was their only form of communication to find their mom once she relaxes and you become her "parental" figure she'll be meowing to find you instead so the consistent meowing will stop

Our 8weeks Bengal kitten has been meowing non stop since we got it not eating or sleeping only a little rest between meowing rants before it starts back up doesn't want food or water or to be touched just running from hiding spot to hiding spot every corner meowing. My daughter is aad her new companion isn't taking to her yet. I think he misses his family where we purchased him🥺 We hope with patience he will warm up to us and stop meowing and start eating and drinking water soon.

I just found this! I LOVE that Kona found a couple of "weirdos" with so much LOVE TO GIVE!😍 I have a female Bengal too; she is a rescue, adopted at 6 months, in mid-December 2020. I had just lost my "best friend" of a TWENTY YEARS at the beginning of that month. She was a female tri-colored Tabby whom I'd had since birth--she was the granddaughter of a "barn cat" we had in Idaho--and I was inconsolable! I am retired and now live alone, so I was devastated. My daughter-in-law insisted we go look at rescue cats (she thought I needed RESCUING as well! 🤥) and i guess she was right; I couldn't have returned to my empty house at that time, so I thought that helping out a "rescue" cat would keep me busy. I didn't know it at the time, but she turned out to be a BENGAL, full-blooded, so I can't imagine how she had ended up living with a homeless woman in a tent in winter in Oregon. The woman had taken her to a rescue home because the cat kept getting out of the tent and running away, and the woman feared she would get harmed. God Bless that woman, her concern for a lost cat changed my life. My cat that had passed, "Puddy Tat," had been sick for 3 years before I lost her, requiring being medicated 3x each day, with a costly medication I had to order from out-of-state. I didn't care about that, but it was the constant worry, trying to keep her alive, that took a bigger toll than I realized. I wasn't even sure I could give another cat the same love, but I COULD give it care and affection. Boy was I wrong! I've always LOVED animals, and had mourned dogs and horses I'd lost over the years, and "Puddy" was my first real companion cat I'd ever had.

You have made a great choice my sweet bengal aka “Lady Lucky” is about 15 😻. Some suggestions is to have almost free dust litter, very good quality food (no bi-products), and distilled or filtered water. These will cost you more but you will enjoy seeing her be healthy & happy for a long life.😊🌺🙋🏻‍♀️

PS & yes, she is very verbal. When she stands on our foyer; which is high ceilings we can hear her in stereo 😆. She has also gotten pretty good at saying “hello”; we taught her her how to play fetch w/a little fluffy ball. We all have enjoyed her & love her 😍; so great full for her in our lives🙏🏼😊

When I got my first cat, Dolores, she was also a bit petulant during the trip, and she was approximately four years old. But when I held the front of the crate to the car window, she calmed down significantly, though it was unclear whether it was because she was able to view her surroundings or if she was planning her escape.

You should get her a sibling! Bengals are a very social breed and don’t do well as only pets. Especially once you are both back in the office

I just put a deposit down for a Bengal! I’m supper excited but also nervous! We are a big active family, and I want to make sure the transition goes well!

When I brought my first Bengal kitten home, she wouldn't shut up either. The next day when I came home from work I couldn't find her and then heard her meow and looked up. She was up on top of the bookcase! "How did you get up there!?"

Just discovered you guys and Kona! So naturally I'm watching all of her videos. I'm laying here with my kitten, Suki. She is a 6 month old Bombay. She is very confused about all the meowing from Kona lol.

She´s adorable. I´m getting my own bengal boy in the beginning of June. He will be 14 weeks then. He´s almost 4 weeks now. (In my country the law is 14 weeks before moving from cat mom). Can´t wait to have him here

I have a Bengal cat too. However he said he was 8 weeks when we got him and the vet said he was 5. He was rlly small at the time. He was also sick twice on the first day home and wouldn’t eat or play for like a week. He’s a little bigger now and an absolute devil and loves to play and is constantly asking for food and treats. I love him so much and ur cat is so adorable too. She seems very happy 😊

Mine was just as bad with meowing but he's not as bad now. Had him since June. Mine was also hyper at bed time and as he got around 6 months old he calmed down and nowadays he just loungers around. He loves to sleep under my bed covers ♥️

I started watching this and when the kitten started meowing in the car - my mom cat and kitten ran into the room to care for your kitten. Both very concerned. My kitten is 2 1/2 mos old, similar to yours. the mom, maybe a year and a half.

My bengal kitten is super high energy and is very chatty inlove her and she even wears my labrador out 😆

I’m getting my first Bengal in a few days...curious to know which brand you used for the furniture deterrent? Could you post a link plz? Your videos have been so helpful to prepare for her arrival 😻

Ours meowed 3 hrs ride home and has been up running hiding all over the house meowing. He won't eat or drink anything and Does Not want to be touched or held. Its been up meowing for 24 hours straight! Heeelp!

As for your cat being talkative......at least they are; mine doesn’t talk hardly at all They do chatter with animals though the window but when it comes to meowing not so much

Hi - I may be adopting an adult bengal soon....I'm concerned my place is too cluttered (lots of pottery on shelves) for an active, mischievious cat (I will certainly remove many of the breakables beforehand) and I notice that your home is pretty minimally decorated...was that a cat-based choice?

Hello to any brand new kitty parents! Here is a tip or two for ya to ease some of the crying and painful awkwardness! When you travel with kitty in the crate, use a towel or blanket to cover it up - unless it is too hot to do so and they will keep calm with far less crying in the car and crate! It also helps to talk to them as well not allowing them to get a word in edgewise lol! Try it and let me know how that goes next time going somewhere vet included! I do not feel cats need sedating (doctor/vet prescribed), it's not necessary, even when i have taken long trips in a moving truck! I don't believe in it actually although some recommend it! I have also transported wild/ferals in the traps and in crates as well just using the cover method and what a difference! You will see a big difference with any cat at any age! Just wanted to bring that up since I have actually read about people doing such a thing! I just don't find the need to do that! Also these types of cats are escape artists! Mine is so proud of opening doors and once opened he is like look at me what I did but does not care to run off! But be careful especially if latches are not 100 percent latched in crates, cabinets and doors. Once they watch to see how things work, they will figure out how to work it. Make sure they have a toy box with plenty of toys and various toys! Its fun to go around the house and pick up all the toys and put them back! Even more fun to watch them dig in the boxes for a specific toy. The selection process is so cute to watch! Treats are great and if you have not tried the squeeze treats, TRY THEM! Even adult cats will appear to bottle feed, I mean that is what it feels like when you share these types of treats! Once you go squeeze treats you really won't want to go back to the cookies treats (I call those kitty crack! haha they behave like they are jonesin' for crack! at least what it looks like if I were a crack head I would say) Best toys are flippy fish and anything on a fishing pole type toy! Also the noisy mouse that makes the mouse noise! You might make a few tin foil pressed and rolled up hard into balls toys if you are unable to purchase those cute toys- the foil will work great and will hold you over financially for a good long time as I find them still playing with foil balls the same ones months and years even later! They will find fun in a bottle cap to a plastic water bottle is a fun toy so let them play why not just make sure there is nothing that will harm them and if they enjoy it once in a while, I go ahead and allow it to go into the toy box! My cats have sometimes the strangest toys but if they like it, then its a toy! Don't burn kitty out on red dot toys you risk burning their eyes and its a mean game to never ever catch the darn thing so there is no reward but they are so aweful to see them get brain burned or watch them lose their minds! Avoid those as toys and use them to get them to come back inside if they escape your car or home - basically use them for training and keep it at that. If you cannot afford a cat tree get a large box and cut out a few windows and a front and back door, leave the flap but fold it. They offer privacy and a place to escape too and they will use it. Put toys inside it and its funny to hear them playing inside it - it sounds like they are moving their furniture around inside! Cats are the best little buddies and snugglies. If they mis behave get a water squirt bottle and label it kitty spank. you won't have to use it most of the time...just once and after that you just make like they are gonna get it and that is enough right there!! Good stuff, cute video... Starting out is always different for everyone - but you can bet whether its a first time or the hundredth time - your in for a big fun time...You actually don't own a cat...they definitely own you! Good luck!

We work normal 9-5 jobs and yes that plenty of tine. We were just lucky to have gotten Kona during covid!

Mine gets this loud only when separated from his brother..

I have to self isolate a lot because of my job so I got tiny ones for my husband who had never been around pets.. I keep telling him they left their parents and are needing his attention.. he claims he hates them but I know better. Snacks disappear and I am sure he is not munching on them. He is spoiling the little rats and I am pretending I don’t see it.
