Some make fun about another Benfica European final loss, but isn't worth to mention how great they played, how great they are.. For some kids here around who never heard about it, SL Benfica is one of Europe's greatest teams, a huge club, who won 2 champions league and have reach 5 other finals. Yes, sad they loss, but isn't worth to mention how tough and hard it is to reach a champions league final, and they have made it 7 times. For example Juventus played 9 champions league deciders and won also only 2 times, losing 7. But both are still great teams, are among top ten of the all time champions league ranking. Some people making fun here their teams never ever played a final.. More respect, it's SL Benfica and FC Juventus and this is only Europa league far from being a Champions league..🇵🇹🇮🇹

So glad our (Utd) final wasn't like that, don't think I would've been able to handle it with UCL on hanging on it. However stoppage time winners are the best in a final 👌👌👌

Fun fact. Immediately after winning this match, Chelsea became the first and only team in history to hold bot UCL and Europa titles simultaneously at the same time. They kept the UCL for another week till Bayern Beat Dortmund. This happened because Chelsea - also- is the only team in the history of the UCL to win the title then get knocked out of the group stages the next year 😂

It is strange how that season both the Champions League and Europa League finals were almost identical. Two teams, evenly matched but with a clear favourite. Underdog makes the better start but can't break through, favourite scores early in the second half, underdog equalises with a penalty and favourite wins it late on. Even the guys that scored the winning goals had a little back story to them - Robben missed the penalty in 2012 and Ivanovic didn't get to play in that game because of suspension.

As a benfica fan the ivanovic's goal hurts me to this day...

I would say Cech is the best player of Chelsea imo, simply because he was both consistent and came up clutch. Drogba came up clutch but was not consistent, while Lampard was consistent but not as clutch as Drogba or Cech.
