I sailed my old 1985 Beneteau First 38 all over the West Indies in the late 2000s and it held up very well in all conditions including bouncing off coral reefs. Best boats for the money IMHO. And it is nice to know they are even IMPROVING the build process and staying competitive in a volatile market place. Bravo Beneteau.

Good overview, but needs to be more in depth; particularly with the injection molding phase.

When did people in this timeline start saying "StreNth" and "HeadS"??? In my old timeline people only ever said "StrenGth" and ships "Head" singular. Until about 2 years ago, (for me).

Having been in the marine repair industry for 35 years I would NEVER buy a balsa core boat!

My 38 was non core but there is nothing wrong with a MODERN DAY CORED BOAT BECAUSE THE TECHNOLOGY HAS GOTTEN WAY BETTER.

The first thing you learn in fiberglass construction is not to fold the glass as it breaks it and takes all strength away. This video taught me what not to buy .

That is not true. Have you ever even tried it? You can tie a knot into fibreglass! And it wouldn't be different for carbon fibres anyways, they are even stiffer.
