Good review mate, I have the benelli leoncino 500 and puts a smile on my face everytime, 11000km and not a problem, best 500cc on the market, I owned a Honda cb500x and the benelli leoncino beats it hand down, probably won't be as reliable as the Honda or better trade in value down the road, but who cares when the benelli makes you smile everytime, unlike the boring Honda cb500x 👍

However, I've seen e-bikes with larger LCD screens and something less petite would have been appreciated in my opinion. Driving the 502c as a new owner I can only say buy one.. if you want a cruiser with a street naked look then this is it. I will admit its a bit tricky in traffic due to the wide handle bars but if you can live with that I get loads of great comments and looks and the stock exhaust sounds great in my opinion sounds like a sports bike...but it is only a 500 so if you want to go fast look at the 752 their new sports naked bike. I've bought a couple of modern Benelli bikes and joined the UK club. It turns out, these bikes are one of the best kept secrets in the UK at the moment. However, many thousands are being sold across the world where buyers have cottoned on to the fact that "The Bang for the Buck" of these bikes is unbeatable! The 500cc twin cylinder engine, used in several models, is turbine smooth, and provides plenty of power and drive-ability to suit road riding. Other manufacturers would love to have the sales figures of these bike outside the UK.

I have ridden the Leoncino and found it not bad for a 500 as it shares the same engine as the 502c, seat was a bit hard on your bum, but there are OEM alternatives, I then rode the Royal Enfield Interceptor, this was a similar ride, however I like the look of this as its quirky, I reckon you have to want one as its resale value wont be enormous just because of its pedigree. This looks much cooler IMO, but I will never buy again a bike just based on looks (did this with my first one, and had to suffer until now. Leoncino might be more sensible, as I need to attach a bit of luggage.Seems not possible with this Baby Diavel. But man, she does look cool...will decide after a test ride. @@exeterrider Yes, I almost think so. I already sat on the Leoncino last year, and it felt great (good knee angle, upright seating position, very important for me). My current bike is an XT 600 E, so I really want to keep the comfortable seating position, but loose the seat height. I slapped some big boxes onto it. I know this is most likely not possible with either the Leoncino nor the 502C. But with the Leoncino, maybe at least a topcase plus two soft panniers might be possible. I guess no such thing on the 502c...But still, I will take at least a look at it.

Yeah, it's a big leap of faith for me. My Yam run almost 20 years without any issues. But I think as I have German Benelli headquarters nearby, I might take the risk. I tried the Honda 500 cc and 650 cc range, and I felt not comfortable on any on them. Sadly, nothing for me regarding Yamaha (Ténéré is lovely to look at, but then I will need a ladder to climb on). My husband will keep his Yam (same model as mine, he is perfectly fine), so I cannot go too big regarding HPs. In that regard, these two Benellis might work fine. Question nobody can answer: how long will they last? But maybe Chinese bikes are not as bad as many think...Guess somebody has to do it...

Yes your right. On the flip side to the Chinese bike benelli thing is when/if you bought one it's a big 2 fingers up to the rest of the crowd. You may get alot of "what problems have you had" like I ask many benelli owners and they all have said so far "nothing really". Hondas and yams have there own issues but lean on the whole reliable thing which is well earned. You sound to me like the benelli is the one, the Yam has done well but I say bite the bullet and get the leoncino. If you do let me know and stay in contact 👍🍻🏍️

Then there's the instruments that are unreadable, the Dunlop tyres that are dangerous in cold weather, fine over about 25 C. Good advice . I just know I’d kill myself on anything zippy or sporty . I still have scars from a previous motorcycle accident while working stateside . So something more like a lazy boy on wheels over skyrocket haha

wash your mouth out with soap! Resemblance to the mighty Diavel is only slight. Like comparing a VW Beetle to a Porche 911 :)

I get more problems with 10k plus bikes than what I did with this one Ian. This is back to simple biking and there is alot to be said for that relibuilty speaking so I totally disagree it's rubbish. I would agree if it was a 15k bike where the electronics kept going wrong.
