There are single mothers everywhere - for some women with nothing, motherhood is a free ticket to a basic form of security. People are getting pregnant with someone they hardly know on purpose, it's pretty depressing.

It's quite often the same father & most/all of the kids have his surname...but he's nowhere to be found when the DWP are processing claims. I used to be a visiting officer for the DWP (Benefits Agency back then) & I still can't work out how CSA can't find these absent fathers, or why they can't sanction wages or benefits, to pay for their kids. I always thought if someone, who hasn't claimed benefits, has 3 or 4 kids & their circumstances suddenly change, forcing them to be a single, stay at home parent; that's fine- Pay the rate for their circumstances *when* they claim, until the kids are old enough to be home alone, a few hours a day. They can gradually increase their hours & reduce benefits until they're self-sufficient again. That's why the system* is there. A safety net to help people in a temporary financial crisis, that they didn't create. If they have another child, that's on them & their benefit shouldn't increase. We shouldn't be targeting pensioners & people with disabilities. *by the system, I mean out-of-work benefits for healthy, working aged adults, who aren't unpaid carers.

Don't get me wrong. The responsibility first belongs to the woman. She had the kids. But don't have taxpayers pay for kids that these women bring into the world when you can have them and the fathers take responsibility and pay for them. I pay for my kids and I shouldn't pay for these kids also.

She got on the last show, and was proud of having a bunch of kids.

"Eight children, eight children, I have eight children, eight children"..... As if it's taxpayers fault she has 8 children. She doesn't care as long as she rakes it in, it's shameful.....

How shocking that somebody has to work for a living.

I remember her. She was proud of having 8 kids. She received £100 per month from the father. She said, that she wants to have more kids. They all have the same father.

Regardless of whether you have kids or not the safety net should be there to protect everyone, if you work then of course you should earn more than if you’re on benefits I think everyone would agree with that but a stronger welfare state is a way out of a bad job, a way out of an abusive relationship, and a leg up to a better society… I don’t think people should have kids just so they can claim benefits and then bring those kids up in poverty relative to other British children but why do we call this lady a parasite and not the royal family, or the companies that refuse to pay taxes while everyone else does?

maybe she should not had opened her legs so much...

So long as we support the royal family financially, we can support single mothers.

I agree with winslow to a point but I feel if you have 3 kids and are on welfare, then they should say that you need to get a hysterectomy, if you don't then you lose all benefits. and I disagree with the TV lady , that woman is not attractive.
