Benedictine Rural Romanesque - Portugal
In Portugal, the Romanesque was divided into Rural Romanesque and Urban Romanesque (Cathedrals),Rural Romanesque being linked to the monastic churches and to the repopulation of the territory, to the delivery of regions to the church. The first religious orders in Portugal were that of S. Bento (S.Pedro de Rates), S.Agostinho (Sta.Cruz de Coimbra) and Cister (Alcobaça). The Romanesque churches of three naves are larger than the others, usually endowed with a transept denounced by the exterior or absorbed in the general volumetry of the temple, covered by a wooden roofing, with a headboard presenting three chapels, one of them protruding and the highest chapel - the main chapel or sanctuarium - and the remaining lower, semi-circular plant and stone vault cover. This nucleus of churches "Benedictine Romanesque", although not exclusive to this order, but rather because it was a model originally experienced by the monks of St. Benedict, and adopted almost universally.

É complicado Sidney. Nem sempre se consegue o melhor equilibrio. Por um lado a informação é importante, e por outro o video corre sempre o risco de se tornar maçador e enfadonho.
