She is wearing a bit of make-up, but not Oscars level make-up. We are so used to see these stars like if they were wax figures that a natural light make-up almost makes them ugly to our eyes. Why I'm talking about this lol.

Probably the two best performances of the year. The best interpretation of an actress and an actor in the past year. The difficulty of Penelope Cruz's character in Parallel Mothers is impressive and she solves it in an amazing way. Benedict Cumberbatch is always controlling his incredible presence in The Power of the Dog with enormous talent and exquisite composition.

She's Oscar nominated for her performance in Parallel Mothers, that's amazing. After being snubbed at Golden Globes, Critics Choice, SAG, and BAFTA, i'm glad The Academy gave her a chance, she deserved it. I don't expect her to win but getting a nomination is already enough for me. Best Actress is probably the most fucked up category of all award categories, super happy that Penelope got in!!! 🙌🙌🙌

Best AoA so far this season. Both of them are actually interested in each other and engaging in conversation

What an engaging conversation-- great pairing! Both obviously respected each other to not only watch each other's films and study past filmography, but share a deep introspection of their work and shared themes.

Beautiful talented actors. Benedict is a phenomenal actor and was absolutely unbelievable in The Power of the Dog. It’s like a completely different person even his walk was different. It was like magic.

I loved Penelope in Parallel Mothers she was incredible. Her and Pedro work so well together. Pedro is one of my all time favourite directors.

I'm just glad Penelope made it through the Oscar nomination. She was snubbed heavily at GG, SAG, Critics Choice, and BAFTA. This is probably my favorite Best Actress nominee, the moment where Penelope's name come out, i was like "HOLY SHIT, THEY DID NOT!!" For me, the fact that Penelope was nominated at the Oscars is already justice for me

Loved this!! I have to admit that I'm usually quite cautious about liking actors and assuming their good people as I always feel there are some people/actors who are great at pretending to be good and kind, but these two give of such good vibes (there are some actors for example who are considered kind and humble by many but who give me bad/weird vibes, like I feel that there's something below the surface...) But these to both seem genuinely humble and in love with making movies. And there's a true conversation going on where they listen to each other and care about what the other has to say. Awesome to see!!

She's Oscar nominated for her performance last night for her performance in Parallel Mothers. Wow very well deserved. I almost lost hope on her because she was snubbed at the BAFTA, SAG, Critics Choice, and Golden Globes. That's insane, how could they?? How could they snubbed Penelope dammit??? I think Penelope's Volpi Cup win at the Venice really pushed her Oscar potential and it did. I'm so glad she atleast got nominated
