I think edge profile D would look stunning. Gives it a little modern feel while keeping it mid century. Like always stunning work and whatever you choose will still look beautiful and amazing.
Personally, the option D looked best for the table. Love the build, I'm very excited about this collaboration, 2 of my favorite KZreadrs.
I’d say D! It follows the feeling of the African tree you referenced. It feels like it continues the flow of the curves from the narrowest point of the base to the widest point being the very top! Amazing work as always! Can’t wait to see what you do next, always a pleasure!

Good point! That would follow the savannah tree vibe better.
Been a fan of cams work for years. Im glad to see hes branching out to other wood workers because i never heard of you before. I just stumbled upon another gem and that is your work. Great video work, great editing, great MUSIC, and best of all GREAT wood working. Instant sub 👍👍

Lol same same, but different.
I’m so happy I found you pretty early in your time on KZread. Your first videos were beautifully done but watching the video quality rise so dramatically has been amazing. You are incredibly talented and truly demonstrate the beauty in the reality that good craftsmanship means constantly developing and changing, rather than finding a style that is safe and works. Your style is consistent, but every video is something new.
Definitely option D for the profile and again you did amazing with the design and execution. I remember seeing the post by Cam inquiring about a potential collaboration and I almost responded but I'm in Florida and don't have the time or space to pull it off. I'm glad you got the job and I'm sure once Cam is done with the top and his video published, with your base it will hopefully help you get more subscribers. It's only a matter of time before you and your channel blow up! Great work!
i like D best. nice work on this! on the next attempt on this style of base, might be cool to try and cut a little dado in the base for each curve to land in, making it look like a seamless transition from the base into the curve.

Good idea! Thanks! I definitely wasn’t thrilled with how that came together/looked from the underside. Lams we’re too thick and spring back made that tricky. Dado would definitely make that easier 🤙

Let's be fair here. To make such an amazing piece and the end result is fucking beautiful. I'd like to see someone else do this from scratch.
I am floored at how fabulous this turned out. Your attention to detail is amazing. Your love of the craft truly shows.
Edge profile D - definitely. I'm shocked Cam didn't ask you to finish with Rubio to match what he'll be doing with the top. 🤣
Edge profile: D for sure. Accents the beveled edge of the base
You’ve become my favorite builder on KZread. I very much enjoy your videos and builds. You never disappoint.

That is frickin amazing dude! Definitely one of my favorite things you've ever shown us. Going to look perfect under that slab. I like the D profile best. Your attention to detail just blows me away. Can't wait to see the finished project, and see how much it sells for. Also love that Molife track.

😂 hd is really stepping up their game. Thanks Gabriel. Glad the work put into video is showing
I like a project that shows complexity and creativity, and you definitely have those here. You got your inspirations from natural objects, then brought those ideas into focus and made them tangible. Also, when you cut the diameter of the base down in size, the removed was yelling "wall clock" to me. I saw maple and walnut diamonds in the cardinal points (3, 6, 9, 12'oclock). I like profile D for the top. Thanks for sharing your project build.

Awesome idea! I set it aside thinking I’d do something with the off-cut. That’d be a great little project. Appreciate the idea and glad you enjoyed the build 🤙
Outstanding !!! Great craftsmanship love the contrast everything about it is beautiful !!!
This looks fantastic! It's great to see you two teaming up. Definitely go with option D for the tabletop profile.
D for sure, tapers down and follows the flow. This is amazing!
Absolutely stunning! It was so much fun to watch the way vision and artistry came together with this piece! You have the patience of a saint! My vote for profile would be D. I think it would emulate the canopy aspect of the desert tree. 🙂
I'm always impressed with the angles on the D style table with B a solid runner up. Beautiful and inspiring work completed with 1st class skill. Go on brush your shoulders off. Very great full to see it thank you.
Love the Chamfered look D.... You do beautiful work!
D definitely looks the best as an edge profile ... i cant wait to see the rest of this collaboration 😍
I like the D Profile,. I cannot wait to see the completed project. This base alone is absolutely stunning!
Very impressive work. Such a huge variety of skills and techniques. Great craftmanship!!
I appreciate the half-dowels for "feet:" they give the piece an understated floating effect. It's an interesting option for a large treasure chest/gaming table I have planned for the summer. Thanks!
You are a MASTER of your craft. Well done!
Found your channel and I like it. For me profile D is the best. Amazing work. I have just started to work with solid wood and I'm learning every day.
I like D for the edge profile. I think it matches your flowing design the best. I just love watching what you build and design

I’ve been waiting for this collaboration, and it was so worth it. Option D is quite aesthetically pleasing to the eye, good balance.
Love it! I've been waiting for you Cam to do a build together. So exciting.
I like edge profile D - That slight angle references the angles in the legs. Loved the reveal of the LED lights under your workbench. :)

@@SawyerDesign One of my notes from this vid - the xmas LEDs under the bench are actually genius. You put those there so you can see your s**t, right?
"D" for sure! nice job on those legs.. got to love walnut when you apply the finish!
i like it when the woodworker isn't afraid to show that he nicked himself and needed a bandade
First video of yours I have watched and man very much enjoyed. Can't wait to see the completed table.
I just bought the exact same bandsaw as you. Got so lucky finding one. Can’t wait to get the new guides and riser block on it.
Absolutely stunning, I can't type much more as Iam just home from a complete shoulder replacement. Look forward to the finished collaboration. Don from South Aust.
I enjoyed the work on this collaboration. I've watched Blacktail for a while. I look forward to seeing more of your video wall hanging art.
That bleep looks niiice! I’m always a bit partial to a good chamfered edge. Hard to say which half will steal the show but a beautiful base can sometimes be harder to pull out, but I think you nail it!
D! Chamfered edge always looks great. Looking forward to seeing the final piece.
I have been looking forward to this build for 2 weeks!!
great video, amazing build... like always. I love watching your videos. Keep up the great work
Dayum dat pretty! I'd go for D, which is what Cam usually does and I think it's so lovely. Somehow 1 simple cut adds so much character. And if you're not sponsored by the vacuum bag company you should be. Every video it's just screaming at me that I need one 🤣 well done man, phenomenal as always

Great job Nick! Love your “Festool” miter saw. I like D.
D! Good lord that's a beautiful base. Thanks for sharing
I like profile D. Love the veneer. I’d love a dining table with that veneer look.
Beautiful work I think D would be the best option, marvelous piece.
Hi Nick, another beautiful design, I love Walnut such a stunning grain, the legs worked out very well. Over the Cam at Blacktail. I would go for D in the design, I know Cam likes to use the bevel on his tables. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic work. I like option D, also known as a "Swiss edge"
Definitely D would suite the base the best! Great builds, great videos!
Holy skill set, this is all incredible. Well done. You and your shellac holding it down! Yeah!

Big ol D. Solid collab and great base design! Love the storytelling.
Sick build, base looks awesome. Profile D is my vote. Spalted maple medallions look killer !
Absolutely beautiful. Your so bloody talented mate.
Cam does beautiful work and excels at making tabletops. However your work is truly artistic and the workmanship is fantastic (aside from the patch job). I hope whomever buys the table appreciates your contribution and the effort and skill behind it. - Chris

D looks the best to me..... great work. Can`t wait for Cam`s part.
Beautiful build! Can't wait to see the final product with Cam👍 If it were mine I would go with option D for the table top.
The D edge profile! Looks really substantial and strong. Makes me think of a stone slab almost
I agree with most people on here that I think edge profile D will look the best! Also this video was edited and shot brilliantly. I have binged watched all of your videos and this one in my opinion has been your best. You really can tell how much dedication and work you have put into both you projects and videos and they keep getting better! Thank you for provided such great content!

Sweet as always mate. It’s always the last hole and then….. POP!! Profile D is the one for me.
I love D😉 Also your base is incredible, I wasn’t sure about the veneer idea at the start, but you sure know what you’re doing as it came out beautifully!! Can’t wait to see the table top!

seriosuly ... I have seen better in grade 7 wood shop ... from kids who are just learning ... and this is his JOB ... no for someone who has done better jobs making their jigs this is really a BODGE job ... just good enough to look good no passion no love no skill really required ... .
Great build again. I think D looks the best with overall design.
Super dope that you guys are working together
Thanks for sharing your techniques buddy.
Awesome build. I like the B edge profile most
I think the chamfer in option D compliments the angle of the slats in the base the best
You build on a whole other level!! Dang!! Gorgeous and freaky awesome all the way!

Haha freaky awesome. Stealing that one Henry. Thank you!
Awesome! Profile D looks best, I like the double radius that Cam uses for round tables, but the bevel on D will fit better with your base imo.
Really enjoyed! Love the "D" profile. Looking forward to seeing more.
I'd go with D. It just appeals to the eye better then the rest. Nice work!
Incredible work, beautiful.
First video of yours I'm seeing and... wow! I'm usually so impressed with woodworkers and their creativity but can I just say that your editing is next-level? So awesome!

This is hands down my favorite woodworking channel on the whole platform. Very impressive work, once again. And it's good to see your nose is looking better too ;)
Man, I would love to see a video of you explain that veneered segmented walnut part in the base. I am so inspired by that. I have never attempted something like that but would love to learn it.
Love your work. Thanks for sharing
I really like your creative and unique crafts, i've just came across your channel and am already a fan
This is the first video I've seen from you. Very nice! I personally would go with B for the table profile.
It looks AWESOME!!!
Edge profile- B or D Can’t wait to see Cam’s side of this and you guys putting the puzzle together!
Nick you are making these crazy builds look easier each time. I think we’re watching the early days of a true master!!!! Thanks for sharing as always!!

Love your "Festool" miter saw. ;)
The wood grain in the octagonal pyramid looked really cool
I’d like to see profile D. Very nice piece of work!! Can’t wait to see the end result!!
Great build as always. Absolutely looking forward to Cam’s video to see this completed. Great idea to collaborate with him. If I remember correctly, it was because of him I got to know about your channel and have been following you since. Keep em coming, Mr. Sawyer.

Fantastic looking table
Wow the new Kapex looks sweet!
Now that is a very pretty base! 👍
I love the festool logo on the miter saw 🤣
Profile B, nice and rounded for all those hip or head bashing
Two thumbs up for the D option, kind of looks like that's the favorite option but it just seems to work with the piece. Also terrific creativity and workmanship!! Your videos just show how much work and patience go into these more complex pieces and helps everyone appreciate your talent. Just curious if you could share your shellac recipe. Bravo!!

Hey thanks so much! I make a 2lb cut with lab dna and dewaxed Platina shellac flakes. Once dissolved and filtered, I reduce the cut to 1lb with Mohawk 👍
Profile D! Nothing on a tree has straight edges! It wouldn’t look right. Love your work!
so cool that you teamed up with Cam! great idea and great video as always!
Wow! You got a new Festool kapex miter Saw! 😂😅 I love the sticker on the ryobi! 😎 I Think i Will upgrade all my tools the same Way 😄 As always absolutely stunning Woodwork.
D for sure! Epic build 🤘
Really beautiful Nick, your designs get more complex every build. Not a huge fan of the whole epoxy/river table thing. Cant deny though Cam is a master in that world and he does it right and his tables are beautiful. Congrats on the channel's growth 100k in no time!
Definitely D, the back bevel as Cam likes to call it. I actually discovered you from Cam plugging your channel, cool to see you guys team up. Also, your production on this video was stellar!
