I think edge profile D would look stunning. Gives it a little modern feel while keeping it mid century. Like always stunning work and whatever you choose will still look beautiful and amazing.

I’d say D! It follows the feeling of the African tree you referenced. It feels like it continues the flow of the curves from the narrowest point of the base to the widest point being the very top! Amazing work as always! Can’t wait to see what you do next, always a pleasure!

I’m so happy I found you pretty early in your time on KZread. Your first videos were beautifully done but watching the video quality rise so dramatically has been amazing. You are incredibly talented and truly demonstrate the beauty in the reality that good craftsmanship means constantly developing and changing, rather than finding a style that is safe and works. Your style is consistent, but every video is something new.

Definitely option D for the profile and again you did amazing with the design and execution. I remember seeing the post by Cam inquiring about a potential collaboration and I almost responded but I'm in Florida and don't have the time or space to pull it off. I'm glad you got the job and I'm sure once Cam is done with the top and his video published, with your base it will hopefully help you get more subscribers. It's only a matter of time before you and your channel blow up! Great work!

i like D best. nice work on this! on the next attempt on this style of base, might be cool to try and cut a little dado in the base for each curve to land in, making it look like a seamless transition from the base into the curve.

Good idea! Thanks! I definitely wasn’t thrilled with how that came together/looked from the underside. Lams we’re too thick and spring back made that tricky. Dado would definitely make that easier 🤙

I like a project that shows complexity and creativity, and you definitely have those here. You got your inspirations from natural objects, then brought those ideas into focus and made them tangible. Also, when you cut the diameter of the base down in size, the removed was yelling "wall clock" to me. I saw maple and walnut diamonds in the cardinal points (3, 6, 9, 12'oclock). I like profile D for the top. Thanks for sharing your project build.
