Timely review, I was just looking at that at Amazon, with the same reservations you stated. Since I already have a laser rangefinder I don't need that function on a tape measure. I do wonder what it's standout is and how (?IF?) the DRO accounts for the shackle/hook play at the end. The stated accuracy was +/- 2mm so my guess is that they don't (1/16" = 1.6mm).

I've literally been looking for one like that bilateral one.

That would have been handy when we were updating NAPA auto parts stores. I used to spend a lot of time doing it the old fashioned way...

My laser measurer sends its dimensions to a phone app, what I end up with is a cad file with a scaled floorplan. Excellent for site visit dims in my field 😁

Battery’s should be changeable like AA or AAA. Built in is only going to be a problem in time. Well, unless lost, dropped or stolen first 🎈

I was so happy to see you reviewed this in the first place. And thanks @@MarkPhiler for responding to me, but what I meant was I'm not smart enough to understand how the history works, and there's no manual. Any chance you might make a follow-up video with more specifics, or maybe write a little here to point me on the right direction?

Historical data a total of 20 groups, when you measure then click the button with H, it will store a data, historical data in front of the serial number 1 to 20, 1 is the first group of data you measure, 20 is the measurement of the 20th group of data.@@jeanginomiele7690

Den of tools, on the topic of lasers, would you be able to make a video on laser levels? Seen so many on Amazon that it's hard to chose one. I'm a DIYer and the name brand ones are pretty pricy so curious to see how more affordable ones stack up to the top dogs. Thanks.
