With the SFI climbing he bands have been opening up and we are currently having a storm. The conditions will only go up from here over the next few years. AM CB, my ears are bleeding. Nice radio, had one and many more. I home brewed a 250w tube amp, but that was a long time ago "on" a Galaxy far, far away..

I’ve never in my life seen a Texas Star that wasn’t biased for sideband ,, this is a first . It doesn’t have a SSB delay switch in the back either ?? 🤔 .

I have a Uniden Washington Philippines and when I key and talk my audio comes through my speakers very loud like if I had a PA system on or if I had a talk back on which I don't. with the power mike it's horribly horribly loud and squealing even with a stock Mike its very loud I could hear myself in the radio speaker. it transmitted fine and receives fine just that issue can you help?🙏🏼🙏🏼

Sounds like you need a 100 ohm resistor installed in your talkback circuit.

I feel like people purposely talk to where you can't understand them on the CB. I know one guy that does at least.

Yeah you definitely got to start learning your amplifiers that's what most CB guys do .. they talk on radios with amps next to them and you need to start learning variable power in the radio so you can control the amplifier

U want to keep rhe deadkey of rhe amp down to45 or 50. Watts ... And swing up...the 80 watt deadkey would be considered little crowded... U want to key the amp low with like 1 .. 1.5 maybe 1.7 max... This will male a low amp deadkey ..so u havw lot of headroom ro modulate... U nevwe wana crowd the amps carrier ro modulated ratio... That amp will make over 300 pep drom 40 watt deadkey bro.. hope this helps .get that deadkey down when running rhe killer bee beat of luck

You have alot to learn... U dont ever want to key that amp tht high...
