    Thank you very much for the excellent video presentation. Yes, you are right, the sensor produces AC voltage, so which pins to connect makes no difference.

    Good job! It could habe been more interesting,if you could tell or show us, the pins of the Cam sensor. And during the test, what was at the two pins of the sensor connected? Power? How much? Or your volt meter prongs. Was the flat piece of metal a magnet? What was the minimum rpm of the machine. Thank you too.

    the cam sensor produces a sine wave signal , so AC voltmeter probes can be connected either side of the pins..the piece of metal is a flat bar iron , cam sensor itself is magnetize..and the drill was set to 1 with a maximum rpm of 600. and the video shows that lower rpm produces lower voltage and high rpm with higher voltage on a good sensor..thanks for watching

    for bench testing, yes you can..because two wire sensor is magnetized and can produce its own voltage with metal..but you cannot do this with 3 wire sensor, you need a 5 volt bias voltage to work on oscilloscope..thanks for watching..

    Good job.. can l use the same method on a 3 wire crank sensor?

  • @jlsetnuper

    @jlsetnuper

    3 жыл бұрын

    yes, you need to know the pin out of the 3 wire sensor, you need to have a supply of 5 volt and the third wire to the multimeter or oscilloscope.

    I don’t get why your not talking and explaining what your doing and looking for as your volume works, lol..I was a tech for 30yrs and taught auto electronics at UT , explaining in detail works better for those who don’t really get why sin wave your looking for.. on your oscilloscope
