Thanks so much for watching! We arrived at the rental shop the night before we planned to visit and they had an available SUP for us to use. With that being said, you could always call or swing by a few days in advance to reserve one if you wanted to☺️ Hope that helps and that you have a great time! Let us know how it goes!!

We wouldn’t recommend swimming as it can be dangerous, especially if you’re not overly experienced. A kayak or SUP is a better option. Enjoy!

It's a 100 meters. That's a 1.5 minute ocean swim for a strong swimmer (50s sprint in a swimming pool), closer to 45s ocean swim if you have fins on. If you're a weak swimmer, you can do it with a life jacket. There's another video of a couple doggy paddling it in 2 minutes with no lifejackets on..

Plenty of people do. If you're comfortable with sea swimming then it's perfectly doable. Of course sea swimming is most definitely not the same as swimming in a pool. I grew up swimming around the cornish coast and regularly do triathlons with a sea based swim. Equally I know a few people who are better swimmers than me in a pool who probably wouldn't be happy to do it. Ultimately it's your life and only you know your abilities and confidence in a sea swim.

@@vanillaglue how used to sea swimming are you? During the summer it's probably not essential, but unless you're a seasoned sea swimmer I'd advise a shortie at least, for the buoyancy as much as the warmth. Also use an inflatable tow float for added safety and to carry some gear in a dry compartment. E.g. a phone.
