Honestly I hadn’t heard much about Leon before this but wow he’s durable. Really effective with the shoulder roll as well. Hope we see him coming back and improving. Very impressive.

I watched it and the kid took a bit of a beating early whilst still coming forward, he then got his timing and caused Ben a few problems with being unorthodox. Good learning fight for both really. Very tough Kid. 👏

I absolutely love this guy! As good a defense as ive ever seen. Pin point accuracy. Foot work that would mesmerize Ali. And a very polite and respectful athelete.

Agree. Ben is in character when out there in the ring and I reckon that helps him become the best version of himself as a boxer. If you listen to his interviews he’s pretty respectful and it shows as soon as the fight is over. No hard feelings towards his opponent. It is what it is. Every athlete on earth knows that you have to be in the zone. This is Ben’s version. Props to both fighters

Ben has perfect foot work, Ben has perfect head movement, Ben has laser accuracy, Ben has solid offense, Ben has incredible defense, all around this man is a master at his craft. Even the moments where he showboats is world class.

It appears to my amateur eye that he needs to figure out how his defensive ability can facilitate his offensive ability. Does he need to be a counter puncher or a take one to give one type puncher? Does he have the power to be a take one or give one puncher? The speed accuracy to be a strictly counter puncher or first to engage more of the engagements than his opponents then work on footwork to pivot out to not get countered himself? You can’t look at that young guy and say there are NO positives.

Nah, Leon is solid. From some of the comments, he's still at journeyman level. I hope Ben helps him out to meet some top level trainers who can enhance his style.

He's got good technique, knows how you move around the ring creating space with movement and with his jab. He's a great combo puncher and counter puncher. Knows how to work the body. Foot work is excellent. Most importantly He's having fun.

That's hard to say at his rank. The top ten usually alternate positions for years and is a whole different ball park. That offense and defense is normal once you hit top 20. It's just standing out because of the arrogant showboating

The dancing also takes good timing. You have to learn your opponent in order to pickup on the timing. When you haven’t been shown a pattern and the opponent changes up and adapts, it makes the dancing much harder to do.

That Leon kid is tough, never visibly rocked besides one time. Ben overwhelms you but I feel his next evolution is using those flurries and frustrating opponents to set up devastating counters

That’s how it is said no style is impeccable and invincible. There is a break to all. This fight just showed it in some moments. This fellow Ben needs to understand this very soon. All it needs is a good connection. Who knows when it shall land on you and you are out. Overall it was a good fight by both the boxers. Superb 👌🏽 display by Leon. Win or lose is part of the game.

The difference is his length and reach! A taller fighter with reach, accuracy and a chin will give him trouble. He truly has supreme eye and hand coordination (you can't teach that) Sugar Ray Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Mayweather, etc, have that gift! He rolls with punches like Ali did in his heyday! It will take an unorthdox fighter like a Joe Frazier who beat Ali with his relentless weave, bob, lunge style

The first then they teach in boxing is to keep your hands up It’s not gonna last I’ve seen so many do that cute style but I’ve never seen a champion do it. Ali was the closest but he was great and even he took a lot of shots and may have caused a lot of damage to his life

Ben is so fast on offense and defense. "Stick to the plan" was definitely throw that hard right cross to the face when he drops for those left hooks to the body. That's about the only time you can lay a glove on him when he isn't intentionally leaving himself open to put on a show. Ben uses that left hook to the body to prep for that overhand right. I'm sure he probably has a ton more combinations in the bag he hasn't had the need to use yet, but I'd love to see some commit to the left hook for some liver damage and some level changes to keep them guessing. I can't wait to see him against some very skilled competition. I don't think we've seen anywhere near what he's capable of.
