Our most consistent defender, you can make a case that he was one of the most consistent players in the whole squad. CB, RB, can invert in the midfield. His composure is second to none. Elite defender. 50m was a bargain, if we didn't get him, he'd be a City or Liverpool by now. Interested to see where he plays next season.

@@andreicossack5679i would have to say Gabriel made a few mistakes and gave away a couple penalties. Yes agree he was great apart from that but also when Saliba got injured he didn’t manage to step up as much. This season is big for Gabriel as he can’t be affording to make the same mistakes as he did this season otherwise his position will have it be considered. I love him though and wish him the best.

One thing people don’t realize about Ben While is underneath the class and composure he is one mean defender.

Idk why but that way he touched the badge before the city game meant so much to me.

I think Gabriel, Saliba, and White will always be constant and then Mikel will decide between Timber and Zinchenko on a game-by-game basis.

For someone who mainly has played as a CB through their career, he did exceptionally well at RB for us.

Arsenals best defender last season without a doubt. Very consistent . Played pretty much all games. Fit to play all games. Balance to his game is unreal and decision making is world class. Underated and probs easily top 5 best defenders in the league last season

You think better than Gabriel without a doubt? Maybe you're right but I think they were close (and for me personally Gabriel edges it, Saliba would be in the picture if he stayed fit).

He was mostly great last season, however he has a tendency to become nervous in high pressure games leading to misplaced passes and poor marking. The most notable example was our match against Man Utd at home where he couldn't handle Rashford at all. It was only when Arteta substituted White with Tomiyasu that Rashford was under control and we were able to win.

Its a challenge when he is against fast players like rashford and and team mainly playing counter attacking football since he heally likes playing up the field with saka
