2004-2006 was past SHAQ'S PRIME. nursing with injuries also. but the TWO. RODMAN and BEN WALLACE was the true SHAQ STOPPER. but i prefer RODMAN as the 1st SHAQ STOPPER. and he did it againts a YOUNG and HUNGRY prime SHAQ in the mid to late 90's.

I think Rodman did a better job but respect to both 2 taking on a 7'1 350 pounder, those were the ones that did it better than anybody else and UNDERSIZED that takes guts

Shaq was still a major force in that period, it was the matchup rather than "being past his prime" extremely athletic players always gave Shaq problems because they could tire him out a bit on the other end particularly in transition.

@@larrydalobster3548 Rodman usually only guarded Shaq for long stretches in the 2nd half of games Wallace had to do it for the 1st and 2nd.

@@ChrisM07 Agree You are right 2003-2006 was still SHAQ'S PRIME.. but he was easily exposed.. SHAQ was dominant but he has problems dealing with a much more smarter phisical defensive players. That is why if you put SHAQ in the 70's and 80's. He won't be so dominant. Coz CENTERS back then is SMARTER and plays phisical underneath.. if SHAQ had problems dealing the defense and getting outsmart by RODMAN and gets out muscled by BEN WALLACE.. what more if SHAQ went up againts MOSES MALONE. BOB LANIER. WES UNSELD. ARTIS GILMORE. DARYL DAWKINS. MARK EATON.KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR and NATE THURMOND I bet JACK SIKMA can outplay SHAQ also . His also a SOLID CENTER and ROBERT PARISH and BILL WALTON those centers are high in BASKETBALL IQ. And how can SHAQ dominate if he went up againts BUCK WILLIAMS. KEVIN DUCKWORTH. BILL LAIMBEER and RICK MAHORN. That alone you can tell that SHAQ won't dominate that era..

This was d wades first conference finals. And this was probably the moment he gained the fuel he needed to do what he did in 06 to Dallas.

Woooow that’s is insanely ridiculous. No surprise though the Refs heavily favored the Heat in 05 and 06 vs the Pistons. The NBA couldn’t of made it more obvious they didn’t want Detroit in the finals anymore

agree but at the end of the day prime diesel was the most dominant player to ever play so he could afford to be 1 dimensional
