Ben Stiller on Growing up in NY, Severance Fan Theory & a Heated Pizza Debate with Jon Stewart
Комедия
Ben talks about growing up in NY, lady bugs infesting his house, working on a documentary about his parents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, his daughter’s friend finding Owen Wilson’s wallet, directing Severence on AppleTV+, Jimmy’s fan theory, and since he’s an expert on New York - he answers questions from people on the street before getting into a very heated pizza argument with Jon Stewart.

Ben Stiller was literally the main reason why the 2000s was a decade of so many classic comedies. I hope he returns to that area of film making once again - I miss his comedic touch

He is truly the greatest actor of all time. Everything he does is brilliant. I would watch him read the phone book.
My mom worked as an arts and crafts consultant at a senior center on The Grand Concourse in The Bronx where Ben's paternal grandparents went daily to socialize and eat lunch. I was a little girl at the time about 4-5 years old, so sometimes mom used to take me along when my nursery school was closed. I always remember going down a huge staircase to where the senior center was a giant basement. It's hard to forget the Stillers. Ben's grandma used to make crafts with my mom like many women sitting at a few tables. I often used to make projects too, listening to the Stillers hollering across this giant multipurpose/lunch room. I had no concept of who they were at the time, but looking back, it's easy to see where Jerry learned to holler and be loud as part of his comedic persona. I also recall their kindness and that Ben's grandma used to personally walk me over to the cook in the kitchen, insisting on giving me one of the few chocolate milk cartons (they city sent only a handful of them along with regular milk) and whatever dessert they got for that day like a fruit cup, cookies, etc. On rare occasions, my mom brought my baby sister in her stroller, and they used to coo at her. They were extremely loud, hysterically funny, kind human beings -- and it's thankfully, that was passed down to Jerry, Ben, and his children. Such a beautiful family, which I not only see in hindsight but recognized as a little girl.

In this world of one word stories and barely one minute video clips, it’s nice to hear a real story. Good to learn he comes from nice folk
Ben Stiller is not only a great actor and director, but truly a class act human being all around. The world needs more people like Ben.
Ben and Jon going back and forth is something classic.

When I lost my wallet in London, I went back to the bar I had just visited to see if it was there. The bartender saw me enter the place and said loudly, "YOU are Maria, and YOU live in CONNECT-I-CUT!"
The most entertaining Kimmel segment I've seen in years

I love how the late night shows play off each other in a friendly way (John Stewart is a producer of The Late Show).
wow, Ben Stiller has aged REALLY well, good to see him! About the ladybugs, collect them and put them in your yard, they eat Aphids!
Ben and Jon was so much fun to watch. Great show, Jimmy. 😊
Yes, too many ladybugs can be challenge when they come into the house but, they are good for your garden. They are a "beneficial" insect.
Total east coast comedy 🎉 loved it !!! It’s called a PIE !! Ben it’s a pie !! 😂 how I miss it ! Great show ! 👏👏👏😂😂
I loved watching THE BEN STILLER SHOW every week in the early '90s. It's largely forgotten today, but it was pure genius! Bob Odenkirk was a regular, and he and David Cross wrote a lot of the material--it was like a training ground for MR. SHOW. The "COPS in Medieval Times" and "TJ O'Pootertoot's" sketches were especially sidesplitting.

"you wanna meet these 'fockers'?!" Hahahahhaa Stewart's a true comedian
I was a counselor at a sleep away camp in Pennsylvania for older adults. WE picked up seniors from all over the city every two weeks and took them to a beautiful facility that had been built with senior citizens in mind-aside from the 60 acre lake which was just gorgeous. Because I lived in the Bronx, I was in charge of the Pelham Parkway/Mosholu Parkway bus. Jerry Stillere's parents were on my bus for at least 3 years in a row during the first two weeks of July. They proudly spoke about their son Jerry, and said, "You know he married a Christian, but she's a very nice girl!" They were very nice people, funny in their own right, and very proud of their family. Shout out to Masha T22--it's tanty!! LOL
Owen Wilson would say wow 😂
Love Jon Stewart good seeing him wish he could come back on TV

Hey Ben ! One of my tasks years ago at a radio observatory on Kitt Peak , AZ was to remove Ladybugs and Daddy Long Legs every morning, The swams of both were VERY think and i filled a vacuum cleaner several times each day.
I got my picture and comments on The Las Vegas journal Magazine because I mentioned Ben Still as suggestion for Mayor of Las Vegas!! LOL my coworkers put the Magazine on my cubical desk and they wanted to know how I had managed to do this!!
I usually just watch and not comment but I absolutely enjoyed this clip with the new York argument between Ben and Stewart then they both turn on Jimmy. Great.
Joe’s on carmine = best slice. John’s or Arturo’s for pies. Throw in an occasional Lombardi’s and Prince St square for good measure. Done.
Great Small World story from Ben. One time I found a guy's debit card on a sidewalk, but all I could do was to call his bank. Which I did. I hated to think about him tearing up his new townhouse looking for it.
5:30 That really touched my heart ❤
every time I hear Jerry Stiller's angry voice I just crack up
I'd be willing to watch his new doc on his parents if it had a scene with Clark Gable in it.
John Stewart! Awesome.
Well, that was unexpected! Great bit and Ben is looking good turning 57 this year. Kudos!

John's on Bleecker is the best pie, it's true. I used to live on Jones Street, and I can attest their pie is special. Also, the ice cream at nearby Cones was the best.
I remember one episode of The King of Queens when Arthur (Jerry Stiller) was directing a play in senior center and it was not funny at all so he used a fight between Doug and Carrie that was recording itself on Carrie`s computer and made it into a play which was a huge comedy hit. That idea for an episode had to come out from Jerry Stiller himself.
Oh my God, the ending is comedy Gold!! I❤NY!
