Here I am in the backyard of the house my mother grew up in. It’s a place of many memories. My grandpa recently passed and the property will be sold soon. Whoever buys it will probably bulldoze the structure and build something new. The cycle of death and birth continues. But when we’ve transcended earth, will we care about the mundane things? The passage of time or the destruction of the stuff we had? This song is sort of about that.
