Shame that he retired from volleyball. He was incredibly gifted.
I had an honor to meet Ben Patch during the VNL in Illinois. Sad he really doesn't play his timing was just off but when its on dear god man.

he quit volleyball entirely actualy. he wanted to focus on other projects of his and kinda lost the fun in competetive volleyball i believe:)
I'm curious what teams like Japan want to do to counter Ben patch, he isn't always bombing but when he's on a roll, if you have a shorter team, he's just hitting over you.

He was like Stephen Boyer. Yes he was this high athletic high jumper, but he could be inconsistent sometimes.
