@@SanityReigns-pz8qh a) I don’t know who he’s looking at for sure, b) don’t know if, as you say, no coaching is allowed outside of timeouts, though I will assume you are correct there, and c) don’t know what constitutes coaching. I haven’t seen any cameras directed toward whoever Quang is looking at but would like to know if any signaling seems to be going on, or is it just “encouragement”? Clapping, saying “You got this”, etc? And, again, don’t know if coaches are allowed to signal anything. Maybe they can. Lots of conjecture. Just wanted to comment that I’ve seen it every match I’ve watch him play. It’s so regular, it began to really stand out to me. Amazing shots from Quang against Johns, and incredible mental strength from Johns (and, of course, play) to pull out the win.

Because more people are casually playing pickleball, there is less need for athleticism so people who aren’t in pristine shape can play and compete pretty well, the learning curve isn’t as high (it’s easier to be competitive at a casual level in pickleball than in tennis), the courts are smaller so you can fit more in a given area thus more people can play concurrently, need I go on? Why don’t you ask yourself why you’re trying to prevent people from playing a fun casual sport?
