Ben Foster is the nicest man ever. He donated a pair of signed gloves purely so we could raffle them for Isla Caton, a young girl currently battling Neuroblastoma - if you'd like to get involved in the fundraiser / raffle - we're posting it to the HH twitter shortly! @JaacksHappyHour

Na, the media loves him in general but he does come across as arrogant on the pitch. Heard from enough people that's not a fair reflection of who he is. Clearly he's a decent guy. Plenty of players transform once they get on the pitch a bit, it's just the desire to win.

Ronaldo to me tells me there is something that some people get born with that makes them better than other people. Someone who grinds so hard to be the best at what he does, who doesn’t get tired or let laziness set in, someone who doesn’t ever procrastinate. That kind of work ethic is something I could never have, it’s got to be something you’re born with.

The Scholes story iirc is that Ronaldo was doing all the tricks in training and showing off a bit. Scholes apparently said, "See that tree over there? ", pointing to a tree 30/40m away, "See if you can hit it with the ball from here". So, Ronaldo tries & misses several times. About the 10th attempt he hits it & is pleased with himself. So Scholes gets the ball & pings it straight onto the tree - first time and Ronaldo is speechless.

Most of people don't have a clue. He is an amazing guy and as footballer.......no words...I..... was lucky to see him playing while I was seating on the bench in an international between Portugal and Sweden 2004 , April/May when he was 19 years old, his 2nd cap for Portugal. Scolari threatened him and Miguel Veloso that if he didn't give 110% in the national team they wouldn't be selected to the finals in 2004( Scolari didn't say the names but...I know that he was aiming at them), CR was starting to explode in United and was maybe a bit over confidente that he had a guaranteed place in the squad.....Scolari was good to put players in the right mind. Man!! CR came in the 2nd half for Figo´s place and I promise I never seen something even close from his talent, Physicality and speed. He was playing on the right wing side just by the Sub´s bench where I was sitting. I swear that I could hear when he was galloping and dribbling pass the Swedish players. Seen by the sub's bench Figo, Zizou, Ronaldo( phenomenon), Rui Costa, Beckham, Zlatan and they were all great but nothing in the same league as CR, he is unique. For me the GOAT no doubt!

Both would be amazing stories especially the former. Imagine a season ending final of UCL and going to gym right after and he won five out of his six as well, and if he did it after a UCL victory then it's mind-blowingly amazing.

Wow Ben Foster, it's an amazing share from one who really knows Cristiano. Inspirational, concerned team mate, a fine bloke he is. I think it's pretty special not to entertain a drink a sip or a lick of alcohol or drugs.

The difference between Rooney and Ronaldo = CR7 worked really hard, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, sleeps long hours, keeps screen time down to an hour or less a day, eats a regimented diet. Rooney = cigs, prossies and fry ups. Hence Wayne being finished as a top player by 28 and Ronaldo being top scorer in Italy at 36.

Agree apart from rooneys career ended when he was about 18-19. He joined Manchester United and never really tried to dribble the ball again. Became a David batty. I always wonder what he could have been had he not made that mistake.
