The children I taught in the primary grades in public school years ago in LA county we're taught they were all valued and equal. It was a melting pot of all nationalities there.

I just hope you make sure to get your kids into community programs such as sports. Like everything in life homeschooling has its pros and cons. I guess in today’s climate the pros win out but it is easy for kids to miss out on important socializing skills not being in public school. I feel it’s important to supplement this but there are many ways to do this.

My grandkids want to Christian school and what a difference. They got a better education with used books, used desk, parents involved, prayers. Fund raising for school supplies. Obama Biden was able to get school closed but the teacher joined a national organization that teachers in Mexico. Prayers for the organization.

I am a private school in Wichita Kansas and we have never closed our doors and I have never worn a mask and I will never allow masks in my school! We use all natural cleaners and feed them very well organically grown fruits and vegetables daily! We have been very blessed with good health and it makes me so disgusted with the school system has done to our children! My school has thrived this year and we have had the best learning year ever!

agree, well said. very important concept. we cannot control outside stimulus (what others say to you, how others act toward you, accident and incidents happening, how you are born etc) - the only thing we have control over is our own reaction. and we have liberty to choose our reaction. unfortunately, our schools are teaching our children that they have no choices but to blame others and victimize themselves.

Not to detract from Carson in the slightest but fyi that statement is drawn from something Martin Luther King said. Still very important words however it is said. Recall it now I think; "judge a man not by the colour of his skin but by his character."

Ben Carson is a brilliant man and we sure do need a lot more of him in our government. Probably be run very well. Bless him and all of you reading this.

I am continually impressed by Dr. Carson. I wish more people had the courage to reject group thinking and use common sense.

Google " Paging Dr. Carson" and read his story. His mother got him and his brother to put 2 reading reports on the dinner table each Friday as she put the dinner plates down. That was their job in the family. When they both showed her HS Diomas from HS their job was done. His brother went on to college and so did Dr Ben Carson.

Every time I hear doctor Carson speak I feel like we have hope and it's country because he's not only a very intelligent man but you can tell he has a lot of character and had a lot of compassion for this country I'm so sad to hear every day how horrible this country is how bad it is no we're not perfect yes we have bad people but all in all. We've been a country that has been blessed by God and we have seen to forgot about that and the only way we're going to be able to overcome the problems we have is work together because together we're stronger when become divided by race and color of our skin that is when we have these problems we've got to work together I'm so sad that even think that China and Russia is not going to matter fire a shot to bring it down because we're bringing our self down from within God help us

I love Dr Carson. His book "One Nation" should be required reading in school. I gave a number of them to my son's English class and told him that any student that wrote a report on it should get an automatic A!!

I grew up in Arkansas in a one room school one teacher grades one through eight. They taught the “Three R R R”. Our school year four months. Church on Sunday. I could not get enough of schooling. Two and a half years. Then we moved to the city, 20 to 30 students per room the three RRRs out the door and didn’t look forward to school after that. My report card was mostly D and F . I dropped out after tenth grade. 19 years later I received my high school diploma. Schools today is a glorified babysitter and nothing more. I challenge anyone prove me wrong. I have a lot of sympathy for the thousands of children that grew up in a different environment than I. 90% of our toys were homemade, not by parents but us children. My favorite toy was a stick horse made from a tree branch with a string tied at the largest end for a brittle. I can’t recall how many stick horses that I wore out.
