This man simply used what he has been given. His moms belief in him was a catalyst. What an inspiration the story and Ben is!

He doesn't make excuses, he doesn't point fingers, he just does the best with the gifts he was given and even more. A great inspirational figure. A great distraction from all of the negative cynicism that controls our society. I am a young white man and I think Dr.Carson is a great role model for me and any other person who seeks to gain positive change in their life.

He is so open and so honest.. not prideful. Nothing stood in his way of accomplishments, achievements. What a grand example for all of us to go by.

I have a final in less than 5 hrs. He inspires me that I am not dumb and that since I have a average brain- THANK YOU SO MUCH BEN CARSON ... thank you.. oh god I am crying.. It is really hard to believe in yourself. I was an awesome high school student, got into a good university but then it was a wake-up call this freshman year- not very good. I am not giving up being pre-med. And I am hard of hearing so I do tend to get discriminated and all, but thank you Ben Carson.. for inspiring MILLIONS of people.

This man has the integrity and the brains to be a great President. I am contributing to his campaign I hope the entire nation supports him. Get rid of the standard, entrenched and narcissistic government officials and congressmen.

Motivation right here. I build physical muscle during the summer mostly but when the semester starts. I step up on the brain muscle and creativity. The mind is Beautiful/Powerful. Take advantage of it

I truly admire this man. I feel like politics would corrupt him, however. Such a godly spirit.

A thought can be a response to something we see or have experienced in our lives. Thoughts can be constructive or destructive. Imagination comes from our past experiences (including those who are embedded in our DNA) which can be stored in our hippocampus.

Love that he makes the correct distinction between the mind and the brain! So often great people of science disregard knowledge in other disciplines. Not Ben Carson! He's clearly versed in philosophy.
