I just watch it. It seems to resemble the status of their marriage that time. It normal for him to hook up with other. Did he have relationship with the girl in real life? Now with this show, shokus is jusf around. How she felt that time? What an ugly thick skin.

In his speech at the award ceremony where he won best picture for Argo, Ben said their marriage had been hard work for the past 10 years. She became teary-eyed, and the audience burst into laughter, so he said there was no one he would rather do the hard work with just to make her happy 😂

Jen was so in love with him, but it looks like he never got over JLo and here we are in 2023 with Bennifer 2.0.

Yes I can definitely see that. They’re both super charismatic and have similar vibes. I don’t think that they’re compatible. Jlo looks like she would be the boss and the one in control, but JLo just wants to be loved and to love, she’s way more easy going than Gardner. I think Ben and Jlo balance each other out. Plus, Jlo is so in love with Affleck and respects and adores him. You can see that Gardner did not view him that way but was exhausted with him.

I understand that people didn't like hearing that Ben Affleck only stayed with Jennifer Garner because of their kids in 2021 but it was obvious to me years ago that Ben Affleck was unhappy in his marriage to Jennifer Garner and that many people overlooked that until 2021.

@@meltemo.4139 I think that Jennifer Lopez really loves and respects Ben Affleck and they both have successful careers and support each other without jealousy or resentment. Jennifer Garner's career never recovered after "Elektra" didn't do well at the box office and she didn't seem to want to work much after she got pregnant the first time. After a very short time everything became all about Ben Affleck and I think that it didn't really help that Ben Affleck did the bear minimum as a husband.

Jennifer Garner did do all the work in the marriage! Supporting you, putting her Career on hold,raising the three kids, putting up with all your gambling and drinking !

Looks can be deceiving. Did you watch Gone Girl? Garner was like Amy, America's Sweetheart, but a devil in disguise. She manipulated Ben by getting pregnant while still married to Scott Foley. Or do you think that he was trying to get another man's wife intentionally pregnant? This was no accident but not by Ben but Garner. She wanted him at any cost.

That's bc he resented how she conned him into marrying her even though it all played into the damage control campaign for his involvement with Jennifer Lopez. But Garner was pretending to be his shoulder to cry on over the loss and fiasco made over Lopez on the DL. She seduced him and he caved. She shouldn't have been having sex with anyone but her husband, Scott Foley. In fact, she cheated on him with her Alias co-star, Michael Vartan and then Ben Affleck. So it's easy to see what her game was about!!! She wanted an A-list husband to take care of her bc she wasn't trying to make movies after the kids got older.

It is such a shame that they broke up.

I just saw Gone Girl, like today. It messed me up so bad that I actually think this was an indirect way for him to express himself in his marriage. Even in the movie they say “it’s work”. J Garner is America’s Sweetheart after all. Scaryyyy but I’m going to stick with my gut here. Thank goodness he’s free now and clearly much happier.

A better monologue was the one Ben did when Gwyneth Paltrow came up on stage with him. I wasn't surprised that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner got divorced after watching this monologue.

At what point did he become involved with the blond producer on this show? It was before he split with Jennifer Garner, I believe. Some people just need constant drama, and I think Ben might be one of those people. Hopefully being with JLo will be enough to last him a lifetime, because I really hope they can make it this time.

They divorced because of his alcoholism, cheating, and gambling. He cheated in 2013 with Lindsay Shookis, a producer on SNL. At the time he and Garner were still married. After they separated in 2015, he had a fling with the nanny.

He became very resentful when he realized that she had manipulated him into their marriage. She pretended to be his shoulder to cry on after his breakup with J-Lo on the DL bc she was married. She seduced him. Then he looks around and she is pregnant while still married to Scott Foley or do you think he was trying to get another man's wife intentionally pregnant? NO!!! He didn't start doing all the drinking, gambling, and cheating until he married her. He wanted out of the marriage and refused to pretend he was happy with Garner. He also cheated on Garner in 2013 when he started an affair with Lindsay Shookus, a Saturday Night Live producer. I read somewhere that Garner traveled to New York to confront Shookus about the affair--she found out about it by checking Ben's cel. phone--and Shookus did not back down when Garner asked her to end things with Ben. That affair lasted several years, but was an on again/off again situation since Shookus lived in New York and Ben was in California. Talk about messy. Ben married Garner because she got pregnant while they were dating. She was 3 months pregnant when she married Ben. Garner flirted with Ben while he was still engaged to Jennifer Lopez and she was still married to Scott Foley so she is no goody two shoes as the media always portray her. I also read that Garner and Affleck were going to divorce the year before their son Samuel was born, but postponed that move cause now there was a baby on the way. As we all know a baby can't fix long standing marital problems in a relationship. So glad Ben is now so happy to be back with Jennifer Lopez!!! Hope they get married and find a house for all of their combined kids.

@@francyl29 That is just my opinion of what I observed. Marriages are complex because relationships are complex. It's not always pretty. I think Ben tried to make it work with Garner but I believe the way they started doomed their relationship. They didn't start from a place of honesty and integrity. So that flawed beginning set the stage for the way their relationship would play out. It happens to a lot of couples, unfortunately. I think it would be better if people would refrain from trying to manipulate their partners to satisfy their immediate need for gratification. I believe that would make for much healthier, long-lasting relationships that could endure and withstand the natural up-and-down cycles of life.

This monologue was awkward too.

He looks more relaxed, laid-back and comfortable with Jennifer Garner. With is current more tense and uncomfortable.

what are you talking about? in a recent interview he regretted divorcing her, even wanting to get back with her, She refused, Love is growth. Stop getting caught up with public affections and a 3 minute video clip. She is one of the main reasons why he is alive today.
