Something that I always felt make Paradox more unique than other time travellers is his method of time travel. His line "How do I move so quickly? it's called walking" literally explains it: he spent so long studying space and time that he mapped out all of eternity and now knows how to simply walk through time and space to anywhere and anywhen he wants

Paradox and his backstory always interested me, even as a kid. Just the thought of being thrust into a place for so long, without aging, that you get so bored of being insane that you turn sane. Its a funny thought but so cool when you think about it.

Yeah, I haven’t heard that line anywhere else. And it’s incredibly impactful. Just.. like.. damn. Never even thought about whether there is something *beyond* insanity… truly existential.

There are so many great episode in Alien Force. This is the best one and introduces Paradox. “I went Sane, Very Sane”.

Jim Krieg wrote this episode at Dwayne McDuffie's request. Dwayne called Jim and told him "I know you're a big Who fan, do you want to write a Doctor Who pastiche?" Jim immediately said yes, hung up the phone, and looked up the word "pastiche".

Before Paradox, I've never seen a character simultaneously so hyped about everything and absolutely done with everything

The answer to the Hugo question is a paradox. He never became the time monster but at the same time he turned from the monster back into himself. It never happened but always will happen. Is there 1 hugo or 2? Yes.

I can listen to Paradox talk for 10,000 years. He's so entertaining. I also like that he's another hero that uses a watch.

Professor Paradox, one of Ben Tennyson's greatest allies. A Time Walker who went insane then went sane. He & Kevin are some of the best characters in the whole series

Paradox carrying around gumballs is based on the 4th Doctor Who that always had a bag of jelly baby sweets.

These early episodes of Alien Force were something special. It had a mysterious, almost film noir quality to them, what with most episodes of season 1 taking place at night.

That's such an interesting point. UA had so much daytime, I found that refreshing at the time cause Alien Force rarely switched up its formula.

Love that the first thing paradox is called is "doctor" by the general, its a nice nod to the show this episode is referencing

This is absolutely my favourite episode of Alien Force. Paradox is such an amazing character, clearly inspired by Peter Cushing indeed. I also really like the whole vibe of this episode, it's just something unusual, different, slightly eerie at times even. Love it!

I love it when you guys reach the lore episodes of Ben 10. I can't wait for some of the Ominverse episodes

Dwayne McDuffie did say that Paradox was just joking since all matter has existed from the big bang and there's no such thing as matter from 1976. Also, about Chronal Laws. They could be laws in the legal sense. Stuff that he technically could do but that he'd get in trouble to doing.

Ah yes Professor Paradox, one of the characters that truly makes this show!

This is where the complexity of this series begins

It's oddly fitting for a time bender such as Paradox that this episode got made public a few days before David McCallum's death but was only properly released a couple weeks after it. Man was an absolute legend: The Man from Uncle, Sapphire & Steel, NCIS, Ben 10 - hell, Paradox wasn’t too outside his established Sapphire & Steel comfort zone anyway.

Kinda funny that on the time travelling episode they realease the episode too early

Inspired by Dr. Who we meet Professor paradox who me and lots of people in Ben 10 fandom thinks is the best Ben 10 character of all time. 1- The way he speaks 2- The way he foreshadow events 3- His inclusion in the plot makes him a superior being in this franchise. Ben 10 writers did an excellent job with this character.

Finally, the introduction of Professor Paradox, another one of my top favorite characters of the Ben 10 series! He always makes me laugh and he’s such a great time traveler! Also giving a big shoutout to David McCallum. May he Rest In Peace.

If they ever do a live action Ben 10 series they should cast one of the actors who played Dr Who as Paradox. Also they should do a Paradox spinoff series, it would be great. Now that I’ve seen photos of David McCallum, he would’ve been a great Dr Who.

I'm not quite understanding Rick's skepticism here. It's clear that a suspension of disbelief is needed for some of this. Maybe it's just me getting tired of trying to figure out the intricacies of time travel, any show or movie thats used it always have iffy shit. Also since you guys are watching this in 2023, maybe some perspective will help, but I started watching Ben 10 when I myself was 10, the sequel series was for the kids that grew up with the show cuz by then we were teenagers so the plot points got much more serious, that's prolly why you guys are enjoying this series a lot more

"Kids wont even recognize this" bruh the sepia filter is artistic expression and basic stage setting. It gives the intro a similar vibe to old school Dr. Who and its an easy way to tell the audience that this scene is set in the 50's. Its not that deep, kids and teens can easily pick up on that, its basic media observation.

I adore Professor Paradox so much. May his actor now rest in peace, surfing the timeline forever~

This video will have very few views compared to the others because it was first made public 2 weeks before it should've been, then got hidden for 2 weeks and now that it's public again it doesn't appear as a new video and a lot of people, including me, just thought they hadn't released the episode yet (even a full day later, on Friday). I had to check an unrelated community post's comment section to see people talking about this and that the episode was public, just that it was marked as having been released 2 weeks ago, which takes some scrolling down considering how many videos they upload per week.
